Homebrew Using Online Services?

Hihi! So I was searching the forums to figure out how I can use online services without updating (For games like harvest moon / mario kart 7 / pokemon) and came across a few threads. Do any of you know which would be better for me to use?

I'm on an old 3ds v11.2.0.35 U I already have fbi/cfw/etcetc

The reason I don't want to update is cause I'm unsure if homebrew won't work anymore. (I have the homebrew menu launcher) But I did also see where someone said that you can update to the latest ver and homebrew will still run fine; it's just I'm not sure if that's right or not.

TL;DR What's the best way to use online services without messing up anything haha

Would updating break anything like freeshop/fbi/homebrew? (Sorry if it says it somewhere on the forum; I didn't see much info on it haha)

What I'm looking for is an alternative to the HTTPpwn homebrew application. I'm just a stubborn Gatewait ( Gateway ) user waiting for this " New feature. I'm on 10.9 with no intentions of updating it. Ever. Lol. Hopefully something comes about sooner or later because I'm wanting to resume my MK7 session I was so rudely booted from because of these " better performance and stability " fixes the 3ds so desperately needs.xD Oh well. One day it'll happen. Keep me in touch if any of you find anything!

I am. I know people don't throw in their work for one individual. But it's bound to happen at some point in time. I have been using my gateway for nearly 2 years. I've grown accustomed to the waiting game. Not only by gateway, but by homebrew developers too. Lol. I'm a patient person. By the way, did you mean that in terms of gateway, or the server check exploit?

Well i dunno much about gateway, but that online service thing you want access to, i wasn't trying to be mean or bad by saying anything about it, just was pointing out it could take longer than someone hopes, while existing working alternatives exist right now. But is up to you to decide what you do, you know that much already so I was just more like wishing good luck on your waiting patience.

What I'm looking for is an alternative to the HTTPpwn homebrew application.

So far there is only 2 solutions, use httpwn on lower firmware, or use cfw compatible with latest update.

Lil update! I ended up just updating to 11.4 and hoping that I didn't have to bother restoring my backup haha It's all still working fine excluding homebrew; which I think is because I don't have the current otherapp.bin, but since their site doesn't have this ver as an option just yet I'll have to go without it, but I think for now it's k since I can still use literally everything else. Haha

Usually you would update the payloads or cias, it should be fine

Just wanna point out installing a new cfw is as easy as replacing a single file on your sd card. I don't understand the need for stubborness.
