Back on topic, I really expected better of the switch version. That's almost depressing. If anything I hope it sells well due to people not owning the WiiU version so online multiplayer will be lively.

That for sure. I really do not know why but no one, almost no one has a wiiu. It was a a great console and the perfect match for my gaming PC alienware.

Basically as ubi did with zombi u they want to get some money from the game.

This is probably a little off-topic, but I am so upset that something like DS Download Play for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is not a thing. However, I guess it is a good thing that you can at least local split screen multiplayer on the switch.

Because it exists, unlike some Uncharted that doesn't look the same as every other Uncharted. Oh, wait. There is that boring card game on the PS Vita, lol.

It is a very nice game, but way too much the same I already own with all DLCs on the Wii U.
It would be very nice to be able to play an HD Mario Kart on the go, but it is not worth full price for me.
I will keep playing the Wii U version, and if I happen to find it cheap used or very discounted I will get it, for portability reasons, not because of any novelty.
Meanwhile, I am sure my 3DS copy of MK7 can fill my portable needs.
(that TBH is not that so much different from MK8 to begin with)

I am a bit surprised by the criticism here. I don't think nintendo was ever trying to sell this as a brand new game. They're giving switch users the full game with all dlc for $60. In addition you don't get the frame rate drops that the wii u version suffered in split screen with 3+ players as well as battle mode and a few additonal playable characters. Of course, it's also fully portable now and you get three hours of gametime out of a charge, from what I have read.

I likely would have waited for a used copy if I hadn't scored a deal on best buy using visa checkout and their gcu to get this and splatoon 2 for $35 each.

That's just because Uncharted isn't a series that's branched off into others things. I haven't played Uncharted nor do I care for it but I'm sure beyond that screenshot the areas are different. It's like saying every Zelda is the same because most of them start off in a forest, have you go to a field and so on.

Honestly if this was like $20 or $30 i would buy this , but the price of $60 is awful. It may have some fixed stuff but in the end its almost MK8 all over again.
I just hope the price of this gets down because 60$ are not really worth it.

Maybe change the place where you buy your games, for sure there are some retailers who have it for 45 or lower. At least I did for that price and sold my WiiU copy later for 20.

how is it a completely different game when:

Mario:
Peach gets kidnapped by bowser, your mission is to enter worlds collection stars and repeat then fight boswer and save peach; other than the levels its basically the same thing

Mario Bros:
Peach gets kidnapped by bowser, your mission is to enter worlds collection coins and repeat then fight bowser and save peach; other than the levels its basically the same thing

Zelda:
Zelda is kidnapped by Gannon, your mission is to enter dungeons, fight boss, repeat then take fight to gannon and save zelda.

but BOTW:
Zelda is kidnapped by gannon, your mission is to enter shit loads of repetetive shrines, do four repetetive divine beasts (whihc isnt needed) then take fight to gannon and save zelda.

Donkey Kong:
Basically the same as Mario Bros but your DK and collect bannanas and take your fight to K.ROOL

And im sure as that fan posted that image to try suggest them games are the same (fucking up only seeing the game name).

As an action adventure game, yes its gameplay is the same, but its the story that each game is different, its not like your hunting down the gold of el dorado in every game now is it.

Killzone:
As an FPS game its gameplay is the same, but again each game has its own story.

The thing i have with nintendo is if you take away the recycled games they keep re releasing, what else is there........ nothing much really and i cant see anything impressive coming out this year or leading to next year.

so as i knew it would be the same ole thing again, another nintendo console with mainly its recycled titles and last gen ports (if that) and nothing else new or AAA from third parties that the other consoles are getting.

i actually do believe once the hype has died down the switch will fall and it will die a silent death, the only thing the switch has that made it seem better than it is, is again BS gimmick controllers and copied concept off tablets.

nintendo fail to grasp that gamers need fresh new games, nintendo only release the same shit all the time, third parties take a massive part in a console and release most of the games, which nintendo always lack.

if someone disagrees and thinks i am wrong, then kindly list these great AAA third party titles that MS/SONY console have got, thats also on nintendo..... because then they might see my point its very limited...... or knowing how nintendo fanboys are, they will hate the idea of having the option to play AAA title because they cant accept a bad thing for nintendo.

yet at the same time, nintendo fans are wanting RE7 which one post before had a fan wanting it and still assuming its going to happen because another BS fan site posted a suggestion would the fans want it, not it is coming and even when capcom stated its not coming, that fan still refused to accept it and said theres still hope.....

Your examples are not quite good IMHO.
You are saying games are all the same based on they having the same base storyline.
But you don't really talk about the gameplay, that is what matters to tell if they are different or not.

On the other hand I could recall 700 versions of DOOM, they changed textures and map, called the game a different name, inserted a different plot and called the characters other names, and even so with completely different plots I would call those games clones (same gameplay)
[I am old, DOOM clone fad reference from the 90s, replace DOOM with COD and it works today also]

Super Mario Bros and Super Mario 64 are, e.g., completely different games from my POV, based on the same lore and concepts nonetheless.

All that said, I agree with you that lately* most Nintendo games seem kind of stagnated and are quite samey, like e.g. MK7, MK8, MK8DX.
But I think if you make the similarities clear comparing gameplay and mechanics it would prove a better point.

Story and plot per se has never been a strong point of Nintendo games, or the reason why people look for them anyway, they are more like excuses for the gameplay in Nintendo games IMHO.
