I don't understand exactly what that is or how to install it. though it's custom firmware right? I'm trying to stay away from installing CFW on this 3ds. maybe in the future if I can get a N3DS but not on this one. I don't want to risk it

I mean I don't know maybe i'm overthinking it. when I first came to this thread I was willing to look into it but now I feel a little too scared XD
i know I'm probably just being a silly bean

If you followed the installation guide completely there's nothing to afraid. But yeah, for plugins and ntr you have to get CFW first.

I got Problem trying to get the cheat plugin work...I got latest NTR selector, I have Luma CFW running with 11.3.0-36E. I don't get screen flash when I run with NTR 3.3 or 3.4. This is How my SD card shows if you are wondering if my problem is within it.

Is there anything similar to this that's compatible with the old 3DS? There's a save editor, but I haven't been able to find a cheats plugin (infinite stamina, infinite pouch items, etc) like this one.

Alright guys, I removed the image from the menu to lower the size.

Tell me if it works.
This is your solution using NTR Mode 3 :)

Great tool. I got this working flawlessly on o3ds with mode 3. But I wonder if there's a way to edit the skills I'm getting with the extra skills code v2? I find some of them rather useless, personally. (miraculous luck, for example, I'd like it changed to dreadqueen soul).

Right on! Would you by chance be able to help me in getting it to work on my O3DS as well? I'm a little confused about the whole modding process. If you don't mind offering some specifics, what tools did you have to install into your SD card in order to get everything to work properly? I've been told I need to run two Mode 3's to get this to work on an O3DS, and that part seems confusing...

It's not hard at all, you just instal the NTR Selector CIA on your 3ds and do what it tells you, assuming your 3DS is already modded and using luma and etc.

After that you download the plugin for o3ds that is somewhere on this thread and you're done.

I actually don't have anything modded into my 3DS at all... yet! So I have to get Luma first then, right? And what do you mean by "and etc."? How much stuff do I need to install on my 3DS exactly?

Also, what version is your O3DS currently?

This isn't really the thread you should be checking, then. I don't have the links right now but you must find the modding basic guide. I'm sure you can find it around here with no problem.

Yes, it takes a while but it's pretty easy to do as long as you follow the guide.

Oh, okay. I'll look around for it. Thanks for the tips! I'm just glad I found someone to give me definitive PROOF that this MHGen cheats plugin CAN work on O3DS systems (contrary to what the TC said). Makes me more confident knowing that my efforts won't go to waste as long as I follow everything correctly.

3ds.guide

Ah, thanks. I've floated through that site a few times while looking into all this. So just to make sure, is this the correct guide for installing A9LH+Luma? More importantly, will this guide work for me even though I'm running on 11.3?

https://3ds.guide/installing-arm9loaderhax

And I'm assuming I'll still need the homebrew launcher, right?

https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax)

Now I've caught wind from couple other threads that there's another update (11.4) that has effectively killed soundhax, so I'll keep my system where it's at (11.3). I'm guessing homebrew should be installed first before anything, so I should follow that guide first, right? And then I should move on the the A9LH+Luma?

Pressing select won't bring up the menu. I can open the ntr menu with x and y and the clock overlay plugin works. Also can you make the hp bar plugin size smaller so it will work on o3ds please?

I'm actually using the homebrew discord channel for help with all the initial setup, so you can pretty much disregard the above message. Though I'll probably be back when I'm ready to get this cheat plugin to work on my O3DS.

I'm crashing regularly. Running a N3DS on 11.4... Tried NFS 3.3, 3.4.
To repro the crash, I just have the plugin running, go to the offline hub, grab a quest, load into the map, and press X+A and get the message about losing memory and then needed to restart.

I've tried the smaller filesize plugin too. Still crashes when pressing X+A.

*EDIT*
I must have done something, it's stopped crashing now and I've been able to play without interruption. Thanks anyways XD

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
