Homebrew O3DS XL install CFW for newbie

i just pick up second hand O3DS XL on
Ver 8.1.0-10E
I have read 3dsguide & have some question:
1. Getstart
Choose 7.0.0 - 8.1.0 SafeCTRTransfer (browser)?
Launch SafeCTRTransfer (is this stage Wifi is OFF?)

Because
"For now, connecting your device to the internet is REQUIRED to continue after the 2.1.0 CTRTransfer."

After finished CTRTranfer, then turn WIFI on for installing-arm9loaderhax

I want to make sure before attemp & do not brick it

I'm sorry but i actually don't really know what you're asking. Just don't turn wifi off. Like ever.

Really as I worry if I accidentally updated while at 2.1.0? Bc someone did that!

Just don't update through system settings. Follow the guide using your own otp once it is dumped install a9lh.

The OTP.bin is dumped while installing A9LH.

The Guide does make you back it up though. But yeah....
