Homebrew O3DS XL install CFW for newbie

i just pick up second hand O3DS XL on
Ver 8.1.0-10E
I have read 3dsguide & have some question:
1. Getstart
Choose 7.0.0 - 8.1.0 SafeCTRTransfer (browser)?
Launch SafeCTRTransfer (is this stage Wifi is OFF?)

Because
"For now, connecting your device to the internet is REQUIRED to continue after the 2.1.0 CTRTransfer."

After finished CTRTranfer, then turn WIFI on for installing-arm9loaderhax

I want to make sure before attemp & do not brick it

I'm sorry but i actually don't really know what you're asking. Just don't turn wifi off. Like ever.

Just don't update through system settings. Follow the guide using your own otp once it is dumped install a9lh.

  1. Launch the browser and go to one of the following URLs on your device
Unable to load all URLs: error code 012-1004, SSL connection fail

Not sure why?

Just a dump question, is it possible to choose a version of system updated? (Like I'm on 8.1 updated to 9.9??)

    @The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
