Still happy with purchase knowing the system seller is available free via emulation?

The OP is probably referring to me when it comes to the antagonistic part, which is obviously is. He seems to be under the assumption that...

- switch owners bought the console solely botw, a rather shoddy port that doesn't demonstrate the full potential of the switch
-loz fans don't mind playing botw in a terribly glitchy manner

You go into the switch boards and ask if they regret buying the switch solely because a single game which is just a poor port is barely even playable via emulation and say you aren't trying to be antagonistic? That's its own level of bull right there.

Ok delicate little snowflake, enjoy being antagonized your whole life. Nothing I said in the OP is antagonistic by any mature adults standards.

I did well to unwatch.
Me too.

Me too.

Mature people go into switch boards to tell people that they should regret buying a switch because a shoddy port is poorly emulated on the PC? Teach me more, master. Actually your poll should be results enough.

What I'd like to know is who the eight knuckleheads are that voted that they're unhappy because zelda is able to run (poorly) on an emulator (in an incomplete state). At the moment, the switch may not have a ton available for it, but long term, it's certainly more than a system strictly for zelda, as such you should be ashamed of yourself if you bought it simply because of this. A wii-u is a cheaper solution if that's all you wanted. Also even if they iron out ALL the bugs and get the framerate matching exactly, the switch version is still superior, so there's that...

OP makes it out like Zelda is the only good game for switch, which it isn't especially given the release lineup for the next 12+ months. I bought the switch for the console, which also has a good game on it that I'm more than happy to pay for seemshow I actually have a job and am willing to pay the devs for their literal years of hard work put into the game I enjoy.

Personally I have a switch, and I'm actually NOT entirely impressed by the lineup over the next year or so, however that being said, I also know that there's potential of other games to come out of the woodwork between now and then (and certainly after then as well). Long term, I look at it as a purchase of a system that's very likely to have a lot of exclusives on it, nothing more, nothing less. Sinking 300 bucks into a system and throwing a fit because one game managed to be emulated (once again, poorly) is at best childish.

Indeed. It's like saying PS4 isn't worth it because you can emulate the PS3 version of GTA5 for free. Makes no goddamn sense.

It's harrowing that so many close-minded individuals equate the switch to BotW. It's a port of a WiiU game. Is that so hard to get into your heads? Did you judge Xbox One/PS4 entirely off of Assassin's Creed 4?

We need a good first party title that fully shows what the switch is capable of (got high hopes for you, Splatoon 2), just to silence these naysayers. Then again, equating ANY system entirely by one title probably means words, logic, and reason will pass right by them.

Forked as in all the research the Dolphin team has done on the Gamecube/Wii/Wii U's AMD architecture can be analyzed to figure out how the Wii u works. The Wii U's CPU is basically three Broadway cores stitched together with a little bit of tweaking. Even if the CEMU developers didn't plagarize the Dolphin code, they can still reverse-engineer 90% of Espresso's functions by looking at Dolphin's source code or any schematics that team provided.

That's not what forked means. Not at all. Not even close.

nope it won't be splatoon...that's largely a port with new levels. I'm thinking super mario odyssey

Checking again after unwatching.
Just a drama queen thread still.
Attention seeking, or trying to confirm oneself by external opinions, I don't know, but this thread is built on OPs insecurities. It is fuel for drama.

I did well to unwatch.
