Hello ^^,

@fadedled how are you ? ^^.

I tried a homebrew game named Coup (it's a board game), but it doesn't work for me, in attachement I show you which message error appears.

Have a good day ^^,

The Saturn did 3D in a way no one else save a few Arcade machines and t a specific PC Video card did, hence why even today we have emulation problems.

There's still a lot of work to be done to improve video performance. You can see the FPS and the sound driver can be enabled and disabled. There's still room for improvement, and the choppy audio is a bug that can be fixed; it's not a performance issue. Dynarec isn't complete; all credit goes to the original creator. I only recompiled it with the general and Dynarec fixes.

If you recompiled it, could you post what you made here? I would say to make a PR, but I don't think we've seen a new version of this emulator for quite some time.
He could make a fork and post the new binary, or alternatively post a zip with the binary and new source code. Either way it would be interesting to test the changes, I guess Saturn Bomberman on the Wii at playable speeds is not that far away.

Congrats on your work, this looks super cool. I guess we'll have to wait for a binary to test.
Hey friend, here's a trial version. Many games don't work yet and others freeze, but quite a few do.

Wow, this is so great. The opening BIOS video is almost seamless. Most all of the games I tried are at full 60 FPS on a over clocked Wii U, mind you. The only regressions I found, for one Clockwork Knight doesn't load at all. The FMV is black but then it doesn't load, where the last version had that working almost flawlessly. Road Rash totally crashes the Wii U to where I have to reboot it. And Mr. Bones goes through the boot BIOS video and oddly loops back to it, caught in an endless loop. But Daytona USA and Nights into Dreams have had a huge boost in FPS. Nights runs at full speed but it looks like garbage. But you can kinda see the game behind there. It is playable, it just needs more work on it. I think this is a vast improvement though. I just think that the controllers and the aspect ratio need improving upon. But this is amazing. Good work my dude, and thank you for it

This has some improvements and fixes the bug where characters appear behind the background screen. For those with CRT TVs, it has a built-in 240p option. To enable it, simply create an empty text file called 240p.txt and place it in the same folder as the .dol file. This activates 240p for CRT TVs. I don't have a CRT TV to test it on, but it's been confirmed that it works by my friend Oarsoluto2, who is helping me with the testing. Remember, my language is Spanish; I always use a translator, so please excuse any mistakes.

Tryrush Deppy is working awesomely! Some minor graphical errors but full speed!! Taito's Layer Section also runs full speed but is missing obvious layers. Still playable though full speed if you don't mind incorrect graphics. Princess Crown seems to be completely fully playable with accurate graphics!

I'm starting to play with the emulator (using Wii only, I don't own a Wii U), got excited for a second, as support for the Wii U Pro Controller is almost there! It has the same bug as normal SetaGX, which makes D-Pad down act like it is always pressed inside the games (it doesn't even respond on the emulator menu). I'm guessing the same is true for the Wii Classic Controller.

Elevator Action Returns stopped working (can be played on old 0.3.2), it now hangs at the VING splash screen. It crashes the emulator if you try to exit.

I'm updating the boot.dol now and setting some covers to check how they look, and test the rest of the games on the SD card.

Between old versions and new versions, I would say there's now like 6 fully playable saturn games. Very nice progress for a console nobody ever thought would actually run any Saturn games ever.

Isnt that bug due to the use of Wii Motion Plus? try using a non WMP wiimote.

EDIT: I moved the compatibility list to its own thread.

Whenever Elevator Action Returns and Saturn Bomberman are finally playable, I'll probably be lost for a weekend. :yaywii:

Six games only?! Hold on to your socks, buddy. You will be surprised.

I'm very impressed. Seeing Panzer Dragoon running very close to full speed, even with the current graphic glitches, was definitely not on my bingo card for achievable emulation on the Wii. :grog:

Congrats again @cheloruiz79!

QoL suggestions for Seta GX:

- 4:3 or stretched 16:9 aspect ratio setting.
- Left/Right on the game list scrolls by page.
- Scroll continuously on the game list after 1 second if you hold the Up or Down arrow.
- Having one folder for the emulator where its files can be contained:
  • root:/SetaGX/art
  • root:/SetaGX/bios
  • root:/SetaGX/games
  • root:/SetaGX/saves
