Never updated a game that already had an update before, so I just want to be sure of the process. Thanks.

Hello :)

To update your game using Wup Installer:
- Download the update (you can use Wii u usb helper)
- Create an "install" folder at the root of your sd
- Put the update you have downloaded in the folder
- Start WUP Installer using HBL and install the update (in the nand or the usb, chose what you prefer)

However, if you're using a CFW (Haxchi, CBHC, Mocha....), you can update directly from the game :)

You are wrong with one point the update needs to go in the same storage as the game so if the game is on usb the update must be on usb as well

Thanks for the quick replies!

Glad it's a simple process.

I assume the update itself is safe as well? Really don't wanna have to start over D:

In some cases, Wii U might corrupt BotW Update while updating it, best would be just to download it from Wii U USB Helper and update it using Wup Installer GX2.

I don't see the latest update for EUR region in USB helper, is it a case of just waiting until it's added or is there something I'm not doing right?

Is there a reason why the BoTW update v48 doesn't appear in Wii U USB Helper (USA region)? I can only see the v33 and i tried with NUSGrabber but the download(wget) stays stuck at 100% on this file "000000c3.h3"

Delete the old update and then install new one.
I say to do it this way in case you are short on space. The install will error at point where space runs out. The installation works basically by writing first deleting old second so on limited space case: Delete old yourself first (JUST the update data) and then install new one.

OT: Anyone know what the 1.1.1 affects?

What I did was undo blocking. Then put in my actual game disc then it will download the update to my USB drive. Then I can continue using the usb installed version.

Is it safe to update just via the prompt that appears when you launch the game (like you normally would if you didnt have a hacked system)?

I have a friend who's using the 1.0.0 fake signed copy and the update prompt can't install as he runs it through haxchifw, so he's stuck with game can't update and cannot launch until updated.

I'm going to borrow his Wii u and remove the signed update, install v48 and DLC, for him to continue with haxchiFW.

Just wanted your opinion on this, I don't imagine I can remove any partially downloaded update?

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
