nds-bootstrap loader: Run commercial NDS backups from an SD Card

nds-bootstrap:

Thanks to the work of ahezard, Gericom, Apache, Robz8, _catcatcat, and shutterbug2000 and other contributors, we can now load NDS games from the SD card, without any flashcard/SLOT-1 card.

Don't expect high compatibility, but do expect many, many updates.

The name of the branch suggests that he's trying to port nds-bootstrap to the latest devkitarm release.
oh yeah, I have updated it some days ago, and it updated a lot of nds stuff, but well, I dunno the benefits of the newest version right now, so um yeah.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I can try to explain the best I can :P
Now, ahezard is using devkitPro version r45 with a custom libnds and devkitPro r46 was causing compiling problems with nds-bootstrap :)
aahhh I see. thanks :)

Congratulations to @ahezard for porting bootstrap to devkit 46 :yaynds:
I hope that this change won't influence the stability/games compatibility/loading speed...

Edit:oh...the port isn't complete yet...
That library question will be an huge problem...

In short, this would do nothing for compatibility, but WOULD allow more people to potentially work on it, and would bring it up to current standards, so that's a huge plus.

this is gbatemp, everytime someone has the chance to be an ass by vandalizing something thats insecure or easy they jump on it (2 different compatibility lists, and the WiP NTR Plugin DB.) and various other things.

I don't remember who said it and I'm lazy to search the quote, but as someone posted here when someone vandalized the compat list

same with cell9 and ntr, (well he is back now) but there also just everyone destroyed it. Like people should switch on their brains. The devs outta here don't get paid by anyone (well I guess they get some donations though) and they are developing there software for free in there spare time. The People should be a lot more thankful.

    designed for only specific hardware

Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
