I was having some serious trouble installing Lego City Undercover to my usb hard drive. At 18GB, it's the largest game I own. I kept trying to install the game, and it failed 3 times in a row. I finally just tried to install it to system memory. It installed without any issues. I thought I could just copy the game from system memory to my hard drive once this was done. This failed at almost exactly the same point Wupinstaller was having trouble. I decided to try switching to a different enclosure for my drive at this point. Sure enough, things started working correctly.

Long story short, make sure you're using a reliable drive enclosure!
I had an issue with one of these so called 3.0 enclosures and iv mead quite a few cheap Chinese sd sellers refund the cost I spent on the discount they offered. I had a Lil trouble with a game or two. Dl more than one and the seem to mix up. I ended up deciding to rar each in a folder and successfully undid one with a separate pc and it installed. It has shown me that separating the info income is as critical to it as the one at a time sd load aspect. I'm at a point I want some of these red titles I see on utik it's a Lil different than usb Helper but its fairly complete list that don't need further compiling. Just add each as sepertate drag and drop actions typically does it but iv deleted dl that didn't finish right many times before realizing can option to not delete it and start another dl in a separate folder then add the previously dl fail into it before it gets going and it will incorporate what u already had but if u put it in same folder it's gona write over the top of it. (That's pc app related not console) but I was shocked when I took two halves or so of a folder and it accepted them and I did succeed in or loading into my console. Aka. I got lucky rolling the dice n learned something. Hope it helps

the error code is 0xFFFBF440.

What's the title, and since 441 and 442 have to do with tickets, what method are you using to generate your ticket (Archive, that title key site, or another site?)

As a test, I pulled and installed Balloon Fight (EUR) with Helper pointing to that title key site. It installed without a problem. I don't use CBHC, but I haven't heard of cases where Haxchi Sysmenu and CBHC produced different results with wupinstaller.

how do i put wud files bigger than 4gb on the sd card ?
You don't put .wud files on the SD card. You should have a directory of .app and .h3 files (plus a few others) if you're going to use Wupinstaller to install the title. If any of your .app or .h3 files are larger than 4GB, you have a bad download.

If what you really have is a 23GB .wud file, you need to run wud2app or discu against that file (on your PC) to get the install files.

Ok thanks for your help. So i have to "unpack" the wud file on my pc first. i wanted to test project zero, which i have as wud file, which is over 4gb obviously.
But then the name wud installer is somewhat confusing :) i assumed it is for installing wud files directly. i have to unpack every wud file first if i understood you right ?
Or can i just copy the wud files smaller than 4gb in the install folder on the sd card ?

Thanks for your hard work!

Any way do install from a network location instead of an SD card? If not, plans for this?

Thanks!

Run Mii Maker. Yes there is a Homebrew Launcher channel. If you need more information, please ask in threads that relate to your question.

The messages in WupInstaller try to tell you what the error code means based on what other people learned while troubleshooting the error code. Search this thread and the NUSPacker thread for the actual hex error code and see if other resolutions match your case.

I don't think that's high on a developer's list because getting a USB FAT32 device to appear as a WiiU drive should provide enough storage flexibility for most people. Also, you can already FTP installation files to the WiiU USB drive or NAND and tell the WiiU to install those. (WupInstaller doesn't currently support that - you'd have to use wupserver if you wanted to go that route.)

I think I might have broke something?

So I had the HBL's files in the "install" folder before, and placed a few other folders in the install folder, planning on installing them.

Well long story short, I accidentally installed the HBL channel again. I had another go of it and starting installing the titles I had planned on installing but it's stuck at 99%, and showing "11759.9 / 11759.9 MB" on the first title in the folder.

Not seeing any clues elsewhere when I tried looking this up myself. What have I borked?

Hi, i have put a game on my SD card in the following directory : SD://install/terraria
I launch the modified WUP installer but it only shows "install" as the directory and i can't change it by pressing Up or Down on the D-pad.
When choosing to install it anyway to the system memory it returns an error 'Install of title 00000000-00000000 failed
Error : MCP_InstallGetInfo 0xFFBF3E2'

I am on system 5.5.1 E

What is going wrong here?
Thx

I just downloaded it and it installed fine using y mod so you probably have a bad download. Redownload the game using wiiu USB download helper I have downloaded about 250 games using it and they all work perfectly.

I'm having a similar issue to cenobyte... the only directory that shows up is the homebrew installer, any games i've tried to install don't show up in the list. i have attempted a number of different games (and re-donwloaded them to make sure they are not corrupt) but same result. Any suggestions?

Make sure that the card is formatted as FAT32, not ExFAT, and if you use a MAC computer, that there are no hidden MAC files on the card.

I'm getting error code 0x0FFFCFFBF when trying to install WarioWare Smooth Moves.
It works, so you'll have to provide more information. Have you downloaded the game with WiiU USB Helper, did you copy it to SD using that program (and allow it to verify)? Does the installation start (do the MB start counting up, or does it never get that far?) Have you gone into Data Management to make sure your destination has enough space and that there's no unnecessary data found?
