Hacking Applied CHMM Theme with music not working. New XL won't boot.

You're probably all just gonna laugh at how stupid that sounds but the DS won't boot up now it just hangs on a black screen lol. Will I have to restore my nand backup now to get it to boot again?

you should just be able to delete your theme data. Step 1, take out your sd card and try to boot it.

Yeah I'll try that now. I feel stupid that that would happen lol. I'll remove the cover now and take out the card.

You should be able to boot it with the sd card removed, and then put the sd card back in and remove your theme.

Yeah that works thanks. I used BRSTMConversionTool.exe to convert the music to bcstm but whenever I try apply the theme it just crashes and the same thing happens. I have no idea why it isn't working. the file is below 3.3mb

That sucks. Hope you can fix your theme. Maybe you need to use a shorter song.

I'll try shorten the song to test it and work it out from there. In the mean time I suppose I'll leave the back off my DS lol. Thanks for the help I just panicked when it wouldn't boot xD

No problem. I know how scary it is when the screen is suddenly black.

Ok so it's not the length I must be doing something wrong. I tried a 10 second file and that's the same

EDIT I got it working by using a different theme instead and editing that one.

I mean, if you're really willing to create your own theme then go for it. Or you could just go online and find a bunch of great themes pre-made and actually sometimes pretty decent.

I seen a lot of good ones but wanted to make a Guzma one lol. By the way I already made a Regular Show theme but there's no music in it

Yeah, 3ds.themes (hope I have the link somewhat right) usually has some pretty sick stuff. That's where I find my TF2 n Overwatch themes so, :'))))

I'll have a look at it I'm mainly just making them because I'm bored and it keeps me occupied. I overlooked taking out the SD card (because it's a new 3ds XL) and nearly had a panic attack xD.

I like all the characters by the way

I ended up with that and the battle theme for him xD. A lot of editing for the top picture and the bottom isn't the best quality but still lol.

I used the game maker editor to do the picture resizing. Basically just googled pictures and cropped stuff etc. It was a nightmare trying to get the music to work but now I know what I'm doing

Also made a Paper Mario TTYD because I like the game so why not lol. The top screen scrolls.

There's plenty of good custom ones already but I wanted to just make them for something to do. I think it's cool that you can add music but getting the loop right isn't easy. Even if you time it perfect on the pc it's a bitt off on the 3ds so you have to adjust it until it's right.
