Do I let the already existing Start_Hourglass9.bin file and just add Hourglass9.bin (https://github.com/d0k3/Hourglass9/releases)?

You need to rename it as (button)_Hourglass9.bin and put it in luma/payloads in order to be able to launch it. So yeah replace start_hourglass9.bin if you want to update it (it probably doesn't need updating).

Yes, I tested both personally.

Also they don't care about individual exploits anymore as there are too many, instead they are going directly after the homebrew launcher itself, which is why we don't see our paylaods yet.

This may sound stupid i'm sorry didn't read much of the post other than the title of the fourm sorry if i'm sounding like a noob or just not remembering something right here but i have luma+ a9lh and i heard to never update again from the vid i hacked my 3ds with on 11.2 but i heard if i update my software again it will brick my 2ds and im just wanting some info if its safe or not again i barely read any of this post

Whoever you saw that from is giving misinformation. You shouldn't really have followed a video tutorial either. Just update your version of Luma3DS and give it an update!
