YES! Seriously the new3DS is just way better than the old3DS. The hardware is better, it has better SNES emulation (through ROM injections of course,) it boots up faster, and none of those reboot patches! Hmm~ nothing is better than booting in Monster Hunter and seeing how smooth that game runs. Then being able to close it and not have the system reboot.
The reboot patches are the patches used during high memory mode on the old3DS. Basically in this mode it pushes out background features to give more resources to memory heavy games, such as Smash, MH, Pokemon S/M, ext. But to make up for this mode, the system has to reboot when closing these apps. Basically to reboot the features it pushed aside for these games.What exactly is a reboot patch? Also you play monster hunter?
The new3DS doesn't use this mode since it has more RAM and a better CPU. So those games act as normal and have better performance overall. As well don't reboot the system when closing them
Also I do play MH, my friend got me into them. After I stopped looking for the story, I found myself really enjoying them

So why is nintendo keep trying to sell games that was obviously pushing the system limits too far instead of just making it for NEW 3DS anyway? New 3DS seem just as bad as Ps4 pro, there isn't enough exclusive games and it just seem like something that should have been in the first place 5 years ago, if they had made it this way before, then selling those consoles for $250 would have made sense. But is just seem like they JUST FIGURED IT OUT.
The same reason companies continue to support older harder versions of their system. Money! Take into consideration, people aren't always willing to buy a new system right away, so cutting them cold turkey is just cutting off another source of income. It's all marketing and it's all about the money.
It's the same reason why they are continuing support for the 3DS after the Switch is released.
Because customer royalty is important too. Abandon old users is not a smart move. But the excluisve content is why people buy stuff anyway. If everything worked on all systems there is no point of having the multiple things. Having less than 5 Games for Exculsive New 3DS and SNES VC games (by the way has less titles than wii u) dosen't really help people who bought the new system especially when even the games they already own, only a hand ful get the NEW 3DS performance upgrade. Suddenly i think new 3DS owners may feel bad for buying it considering how little impact it does, and the upgrades nearly seem to only noticable if you actually played both systems.

.I own both O3DS and N3DS, and I doesn't feel like that at all.
Better performance of N3DS give me better experience.
Let me break it down to you as someone who was a manager. You never cut off a customer cold turkey. Yes, it makes sense to update and start supporting the new system exclusively. But the average customer doesn't see it like that. They spent money on something and expect to get their money's worth out of it. That's just how marketing works.
Also this more positive note. You don't just ditch them, it makes the company look bad and could hurt sales.
Well yes that does make sense, i wasn't saying that it didn't. But then how do the people who own new 3DS feel when it supposed to do better than the old yet it does just about the same aside from very few games. less than 10% of the entire 3DS games have new 3DS enhancements. (Not counting the native "CIRCLE PAD PRO" support)
I own a new3DS and I don't mind. Then again, I guess I could be bias because the games I want to have a better performance, now have that.
I have two old 3DSs and one new. The 3DS is far better, the head tracking 3D is great if you are a user of that. The ONLY thing about the O3DS that I like is that I think the O3DS XL is weighted just a tad bit better and feels a little better in my hands, but that is probably personal preference.
The head tracking became a problem for me, i can't tell if is cause i wear glasses, the light in the room is bad or the camera lens is dirty, or i'm not using enough distance, any helpful tips?
One thing i do hate is that little NIPPLE c stick. i wish they least made it like the psp or psvita, i can't even use it like i had hoped.
I don't like the position of the volume switch on o3ds. Whenever I lie down, I often accidentally switch the volume off. N3DS fixed this. And overall the smoother performance is worth your money.
You clearly never grew up with computers with the little nub mice. At first they were pretty dumb and unuseable, but once you got used to it, they were super intutive. After 100 hours spent lovingly rubbing that nub while running around Xenoblade, I have made great friends with it. OH I should note that I have on occasion, turned off my N3DS because of how I rested the bottom on my hand. I wish the power switch was still located inside of the 3DS clamshell...
