No matter how many times I try it I can't get it to work. When I watch tutorials these people download USBGXLoader and when they put it on there SD/USB like 6 or 7 other apps load with it(I think ones called Cios,Ios installer etc, but mine only loads USBLoaderGx and not the other things required to install it.. and that's only after I move the boot.dol file to the root of the file. So could someone help walk me through this process???

it depends what you did so far, which console you use (Wii or WiiU).

"installing USBLoaderGX" is only "copy the file to your SD card", done!
if what you want is "full edition of your console to run copied games" then it's not only the "install the loader" part that you need, but the "hack your console FIRST" too.

you'll have to provide more details to what you did, what you followed, what you currently have and see, etc.

I'm using a Wii Ver 4.3 U. What's the most reliable download source for USBLoaderGx? and Do I put it in the Apps folder and run the application via Homebrew??

so, you are on 4.3U
you already have the homebrew channel installed
Did you follow any guide to install "cIOS" (custom IOS, generally version "d2x v8 final" or "d2x v10" ?)

if you installed d2x v10 beta53, you'll have to replace it (downgrade it) because the latest release is not good.
So, just in case, we will reinstall v8 final anyway, it's not bad to do it so let's do it !
download this :
d2x installer full pack for Wii
extract it into SD:/apps/d2x_installer/ folder

download this (click on the green button):
https://sourceforge.net/projects/usbloadergx/
this is the latest USBLoaderGX
extract to your SD card

Put SD card on Wii, and run the Homebrew Channel.
select d2x installer.
press a button to go to the menu where you can select what to install and choose this (with d-Pad left/right and up/down):

What : d2x v8 final
where : slot 249
base : IOS57
version: 21008

Press A and A, and wait for it to install from internet (you need an internet connection).
once done, press Home button to exit the installer.
You don't need it anymore! you already have all you need.

now you can launch USB Loader GX.

Setting the loader or installing games is another tutorial.
you only asked about "installing USBLoaderGX" and that's it : d2x installed and the loader on SD.

Sweet I'll try it! Quick question is USBLOADERgx required to be on a SD? or is a USB stick fine? Also,Will downgrading impact any of my other applications such as Nintendont or Snes9x?

the cIOS is used only by USB Loaders, so no it will not impact on other homebrew. and if it does, on the contrary, it will improve the compatibility because v8 is better than v10 :)

nintendont and the emulators are using the official IOS slot 58 from nintendo. it doesn't care if you have a cIOS or what version it is.

you can use USB, but it can have issues. some users reported problem detecting the USB when launching from the forwarder channel.

Oh, I didn't notice it (it's quite new!).
Your app is installing d2x v10 r52 or r53 ?
I recommend not installing r53 by default, lot of users don't need port1 and it creates issues with some games, and is not compatible with games on SD card.

no, your wii needs an internet connection to install the cIOS.

though, you might want internet connection for USBLoaderGX too, it's using it a lot : download game covers, download cheatcodes, update the loader (very rarely), update game's title database, etc.

SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol <-- this one is the default.
but "usbloadergx" is also compatible.

To be fair, you also dont need a connection to install cios if you download them using ModMii, i suggest to just follow the guide on SetMiiUp.

And after that just download usbloadergx using the link i posted above, and voila!

yes, you can do it with a wad manager.
I just prefer using the installer (no need to find illegal files from suspicious guides, or generate different files from modmii) but it's only a preference.
you just select what you want and it installs it. the user don't need to understand how modmii works, or which choices to select. users also don't need the 3 (common) cIOS, only one is enough : base57 in slot249.
My link has all possible version in one, except "v10 r52 compatible with emuNAND uStealth"

The only issue with my method, is I never suggest installing priiloader, it's only straight install : d2x+usbgx.

but if he wants a fully offline method, then I'll recommend modmii or your tool.

Indeed, ModMii might be a little complicated for a newbie, but on the guide i made, GUI i make, it generate the needed/latest working ones based on the user syscheck, and teach the user to use syscheck and several other stuff in a practical way.

ModMii downloads always the latest one even if you already have them, or downgrade you cios if found the v10 ones. and yes, Guides over the net are somehow fraudulents as well as downloading illegal cios, but ModMii generates them patching cios downloaded by nusdownloader. so you should heck out SetMiiUp and see it really is user friendly, however, i udnerstand that using cios installer with wifi enable can be an option.

All homebrew has to go in the "/apps" folder. They need to be in a folder themselves so that the boot.dol is in the root of it.

ex: /apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol
/apps/d2x installer/boot.dol

You didn't follow my guide.
I said to extract the zip in "apps/d2x_installer"
you extracted it in "apps"

move from your apps folder to a new /d2x installer/ folder:
v7
v8
v10
boot.dol
meta.xml
icon.png
ciosmap.xml

sorry that my full pack is not easy. I might make new ones one day.

I extracted it the way you said now into its own folder. Now USB Loader is simply extracted to the root of the USB correct not USB//APPS ?
