So, a few days ago, I was learning how to install CFW on my 3DS. I was able to follow the steps successfully and everything was working at first, but I wanted an app I could use for cheats, so I downloaded the latest version of NTR. I tried to download in in FBI, but got a message like this "NTR failed to install CIA file Result code: 0xC960454B". When this happened, all of my CIA files disappeared, HBLauncher, Luma, all gone, so I tried to install them through TitleID but got a similar error, I could not find how to fix this online (I probably should have started my own thread on it like I'm doing now), so I decided to start from scratch.

I formatted my SD Card (And yes, I backed up my NANDmin before I did any of this. I went to Nintendo sound, loaded the HBL, selected SafeHax , eventually got to the part where I'm suppose to install ctrtransfer. It installed successfully and gave me the option to reboot or go back, at this very moment, my 3DS's LEDs started flashing, so I went to look for my charger, but it was too late, the battery died.

Now, when I turn it on, it just has a blank screen, even if I hold Up before powering on or hold start, doesn't make a difference. If I take the SD Card out and restart it, it goes to my 3DS home page, but the bottom display is pink and the top display is slightly yellowish and a bit blurry and won't use the 3D screen functionality anymore. When I restart with the MicroSD Card in, it goes back to black again. Is this a softbrick? Is there any way to fix this? This is the New 3DSXL btw, any help is greatly appreciated

I did not, but per the video, I did delete the 2nd subfolder in that folder (extdata > 00000000 > 00000000f), but that was when I did everything the first time around, this time around, that step usually comes sometime after doing the ctrtransfer so I'm not certain if the extdata folder was re-created and I can't check until I get home after 4pm, but if it is on the MicroSD, would deleting that folder allow me to pull the CFW options backup by holding up while powering the system on?

Have you tried putting the SD in while it's on the Home Menu? Could you show us the contents of your SD card?

I did not, but per the video, I did delete the 2nd subfolder in that folder (extdata > 00000000 > 00000000f)
The extdata folder you are supposed to delete is /0000008f

Sorry about that, that was a typo, it was 00000008f, and I also forgot to mention that part, when I put the SD Card back in, nothing happens. I try to load that one file for the Nintendo Sound exploit to load the HBL, but it just freezes when I do that. I left it alone last night, but then I tried again tonight and this time, instead of getting black on both screens, the bottom screen says "An error has occurred, please hold the POWER button to turn off the system and try again". As far as directory, I posted pictures below

Sorry that error I mentioned earlier, I was typing it from what I remembered from the top of my head, but when I turn on the system, an error comes up on the bottom screen that says "An error has occurred. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again For help, visit support.nintendo.com", this now happens regardless of whether or not the MicroSD Card is not now, the top screen is black, does this mean I bricked it? :'(

**UPDATE**
So I tried booting into Safe mode by holding L,R,A and D-Up, I don't get the error anymore, buy it's just blank on both screen, I feel like I'm screwed at this point :(

Wait, so you had CFW (and A9LH installed) before running the ctrtransfer? Why would you do that In addition, it sounds like you used a video guide, when at any rate you should have been using https://3ds.guide/

I don't understand. You did a ctrtransfer, so you're on 2.1.0, right? Soundhax does not work on 2.1.0; if you're on 2.1.0, you should follow the guide to use the browser to install A9LH, and then use Luma to boot Hourglass9 to restore your NAND backup.

You have your otp.bin, so you must have run the browser on 2.1.0 to install A9LH. What happens when you hold select on boot? Did you close the screen at any point after you performed the ctrtransfer while the device was on?

Don't do this.

https://3ds.guide/
When I go to that link specifically, there is a button that says Guide Me, under that just says what the guide is exactly and what I need to prepare, but it's not showing me how to set it up step-by-step, so I clicked Guide Me, it takes me to a page to select which kind of 3DS I have (which is a New3DSXL). From there, it just has 2 files to download NTR and Cubic Ninja and Homebrew Launcher (SoundHax), so I went looking for a YouTube Tutorial as I understand those better. I found this one (it was removed from youtube, but I ripped it before hand, so I'll post the link to it in my dropbox so you can see the steps I took). But as I explained originally, I had CFW A9LH installed at first and it was working fine, but rolled back to my original firmware with my Nandmin backup because of the .CIA issues I was having.

I was already past the A9LH step and on the ctrtranfer step. Right after doing the ctransfer, I think the next step was suppose to be unmounting the MicroSD Card, but instead, I pressed start accidentally rebooting the system (with the SD card still in), that is when this all started, by screen went black, I waited 20 minutes for a change, nothing happened

This is the video I watched https://www.dropbox.com/s/vgngm5jjdpmnx69/How to get CFW (A9LH) on ANY 3DS on NEWEST FW! (FW 11.2, 2DS, 3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, New 3DS XL)-ezprzDkHie4.mp4?dl=0

I don't have anything constructive to add, just wanted to say this is what happens when you follow videos. Even if there is nothing wrong with the video, there's no way to tell exactly what you did so troubleshooting is virtually impossible. Whereas if you used the proper guide, we could know that you followed up to Step X fine and only had problems with Step Y so therefore the possible issues are A, B, or C.
