How can I rebuild the romfs and exefs that way I can make my randomizer of sun into a cia when I remake the cia nothing is edited and when I try and do the luma way of doing a Randomizer nothing happens

make sure to get the decrypt9wip.bin file from the decrypt9wip zip
and follow this
Put any payload you wish to use in SD:/luma/payloads, and rename it to <button>_<name>.bin(where <name> can be whatever you want)

<button>_<name>.bin can be as follows:

  • x_NAME.bin
  • y_NAME.bin
  • select_NAME.bin
  • start_NAME.bin
  • r_NAME.bin
  • a_NAME.bin
  • b_NAME.bin
  • right_NAME.bin
  • left_NAME.bin
  • up_NAME.bin
  • down_NAME.bin
For r_NAME.bin, a_NAME.bin and select_NAME.bin you need to press L+R, L+A and L+SELECT on boot respectively.
For any other payload you only need to hold its corresponding button.
If you're using a non-screen-init version of A9LH, it will be done automatically before launching the payload.

I was able to do the whole steps (using decrypt9 made the folders appear afterwards), switched the files with the translated ones, created the new .CIA and installed using FBI. The game appears on the homescreen, but when I try to play, the screen stays black and I have to hold power to shut down the 3DS. I'm not sure if the problem is now with the .CIA or the files I used or maybe a Region problem?

I'm not sure if I should bother really. I want to play Puyo Puyo Tetris (I loved Dr. Robotnik as a kid and I love Tetris) but the 0.2 files are (apparently) just menu stuff (which is fine for this type of game). Maybe someone more skilled can create a proper .CIA, since this game should become more popular once the Switch releases, given it is a launch title for that platform. But, if the problem I ran to is a common one and the solution is simple, I can try again! :D

Not sure if this has been asked already, but is it possible for this to be put together for Mac OSX and used in Terminal?

so I think I'm just not getting something. You say they extract as folders but they extract as .bin files. How do I edit bins?

pls someone help me, I've got a Pokemon X .cia, it says"Extraction Done!" without saying it's extracting all the files and it does not extract anything..

Don't forget, your file(s) should not have any spaces in its(their) name(s), nor special characters, like é or à.
You want extract PokemonMoon.3ds ? Just write PokemonMoon.

Yes and No.
All tools should work, except CtrTool that is not compatible with 32b.
Find one compatible, and replace it in the ProgramFiles folder (one is floating around one GbaTemp, but I can't exactly remember where).
