Because everyone have an emunand, it's just a copy of your nand. The ideal use of it is to remain updated when new system updates are released. You can find out what it other uses it have on google.
What? You're very outdated.

so should i get a emunand and is there a brick chance
No. You have A9LH, and little to no use for an EmuNAND. Ignore that.

Depends how?

I use A9LH aswell, but I still have Emunand as backup
It's fairly useless, and far less convenient. For starters, you got something wrong. "Because everyone have an emunand". That's.... false. Very few currently actually use EmuNAND, and most of those use an outdated entrypoint that is not A9LH. Second, Luma3DS, which is what most use, has FIRM protection, meaning that A9LH shouldn't be affected by any update.

First of all, it's not you who to decide what is useful and useless. Second, Emunand is in your system, so yes everyone does have an emunand.

You're wrong. Do you even know what EmuNAND is? EmuNAND/RedNAND is on the SD card. No, not everyone has an EmuNAND, learn before trying to argue.

really everyone has a emunand how do i access it
It's not true. Ignore it.

EmuNAND/RedNAND is a redirected copy of the NAND which is obviously not on the NAND of the 3DS, hence the "redirected" part.

It's useless to have an EmuNAND for most people, as very few actually have a need for it, and it is far less convenient than SysNAND.

Isn't emuNAND just a clone of sysnand that will be saved on the SD Card or something like that?

You have a nand, you have yourself an emunand too.

Information;

emuNAND is a copy of the NAND memory of your Nintendo 3ds that is hosted on a hidden partition of the SD card from the console. Once installed, you can make use of this copy, as if the actual NAND of the console was.

sysNAND is the NAND memory of your Nintendo 3ds contains the firmware of your console and all the data you've set it, as well as games or applications you have installed.

It is. Most don't use it now as it is unnecessary and less convenient.

What? No, you don't. a redirected NAND (EmuNAND/RedNAND) is NOT on the system. For gods' sake, that's why it is called Emu/RedNAND.

Actually this is nor mine or yours thread. And this is going off topic
Regardless of that, you're giving false information, and as such I must correct it as to avoid confusion, especially among those who don't know much about the 3DS hacking scene.

Do you have any idea how an emunand is created? Anyway this is my last post, because this ain't the type of thread to be arguing on

*Im surprised your country support internet*

I thought it was an emulated nand
It's called "EmuNAND" because of "Emulated", but, it is not actually an emulated NAND. It's a redirected NAND afaik.

I do know. Unlike you, it seems. It is a copy of the NAND (SysNAND) stored on the SD Card. I've been here for quite a while, and I do use EmuNAND/RedNAND from time to time because I have specific needs. You don't seem to know what an EmuNAND is.

The question of the OP was already answered, and given that you're trying to give him information that is incorrect, regardless of your personal beliefs (lol), I must correct you.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:

still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
