I don't really see a difference apart from different shades! the actual quality of the graphics looks very similar I don't see any downgrade between the two. The Switch side looks like they have turned the color up on the hd tv and the wiiu side has been turned down, to me that's the difference.

Not gonna lie, I think I like the color in the Wii U version more than the Switch version (at least as its presented in this particular clip), still Switch version should run much smoother, so that's ultimately going to be the winning deciding factor for me.

Having said that I wish the Wii U version had a few exclusive things to make use of the Gamepad. i understand its just not powerful enough to run the game and have some sort of display on the gamepad at the same time without noticeable slow-down. But ideally I'd love if the gamepad had constant display of the map and could be used for on-the-go inventory management. And it really would have been cool if a second player could control Wolf Link freely with the Gamepad; again though, I know there would just have been no way for that feasibly to have been done on the Wii U, at least if they wanted it to still look as nice as it does.

The difference is: Lighting. Switch is a winner if you look at it more carefully for a better lighting.

Anyway, there is also big difference of loading time comparison:

Switch is a winner again.

And Wii U version requires a 3gb install and Switch didn't say anything about it.

Switch is a winner again? Perhaps.

Do you think the wiiu was loading the game from a disc? Maybe the loading times will be better on the wiiu eshop version.

I believe so it was loading the game from a disc. The loading time might be better on the Wii U eshop version, obviously. Again, I rather switch version from my point of view.

When i click this post, i didn't expect the comparison to be about graphics, shading or load times. I expected maybe system exclusive features for game play. So since one has yet to be point out. I will say the wii u is still wii u, meaning dual screen features like the other zelda games on the system. While maybe minor or insufficent to some, people gotten used to having a 3DS style game on television + Game pad which sometimes benefit from the two seperate screen functions. Weather people use this as often as just maybe off screen play or with wii u game pad only, that is still a difference that the switch doesn't have.... unless maybe switch can use the game pad at some point. :P

But since is not something that is known yet i guess i submit as one difference that isn't about graphics, shading quality and loading times. The graphics being different was almost obvious, since the hardware is different. although i been a Nvidia fan for years, i honestly don't think the cel shade thing for this kind of game was a good choice from what i seen so far, so if my opinion changes from after i play it, i will update. It worked in Wind waker since the game itself was kinda like a cartoon but this is probably too epic and realistic to be that way.

- Both launch on the same day, March 3.
- Both have a frame rate of 30fps.
- Both versions of the game offer the same content.
- On a TV, the Nintendo Switch version of the game renders in 900p while the Wii U version renders in 720p.
- The Nintendo Switch version has higher-quality environmental sounds. As a result, the sound of steps, water, grass, etc. are more realistic and enhance the game’s Open-Air feel.
- The physical copy of the Wii U version will require 3GB of available memory on the Wii U system or an external drive.
- Some icons, such as onscreen buttons, differ between the two versions.
- A Special Edition and Master Edition of the Wii U version are not available.
