No it was way before NNID existed, there was a price drop and those customers who had purchased before were rewarded with them, I believe.

Isn't Ambassador related to eshop, and Nintedo only know if bought 3ds before price drop if you went into eshop before price drop. and to go into e-shop, you need a NNID?

I've bought my 3ds these days, super mario 3d land bundle, so that's the only game i have right now(digital)

I don't own any DS games or flash cart either.

To install CFW with safehax, yes until it is fix (there are some cheap dollar games and ds fash cart).

However, at your FW, you don't have to use safehax. rather you can use the previous cfw method which worked for 10.7 and below. Just need to look for it for a bit.

Personally, I would suggest you go buy some games to support Nintendo at least.

Thanks a lot! Can you tell me if this method has more risks of brick then the safehax? Will I still be able to install NTRCFW or even update firmware normally?

Only bricks are when people mess up and do something stupid that the guide tells you specificly not to, such as entering sleep mode at a certain time.
safehax and the 9.2 method are about the same in terms of end result. Both will lead you to have A9LH and luma. of which you can run NTR cfw and install normall

The 9.2.0 downgrade has crashed in the middle of the installation and now i'm in a partial downgrade and the soundhaxx apparently can't work anymore(I play the sound and the 3ds returns to home menu telling me that an error occured and i need to reboot the console.

Apparently the soundhax archive is the same, the otherapp will have to be 9.2.0-20U(that's the version I got)?

So this was given to me the other day. I don't know if it new, old, real, fake or what not. Supposedly the last owner used to play games with it but it stopped working. Can anyone share some knowledge? I try booting it but I doesn't show any content on my 3ds. It's an o3dsxl with Luma3DS.

Can someone help me in fixing my 3DS menu? I was following the new Soundhax HB installation guide ( https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax) ) and did everything correctly, it worked but at the end of the guide it says to DO NOT delete the files and folders listed, from your SD card, just the extra stuff. So I read it as delete them, now I cannot see the .cia I installed on menu and Hourglass doesn't open before booting. Should I just start all over with my backup before installation? When I insert my SD card with content before installation I cannot even enter menu of 3DS to start over since it boot with A91H. I tried copying the files I deleted but I still cannot see the games icon or the ones installed like FBI and Luma HELP!!!

Edit: I can now boot hourglass, about to restore SysNAND.

Edit: looking at it more closely, the flashcard should be 3ds compatible... maybe the flashcard is faulty or the flashcard does not make contact with the pins correctly? (wonky flashcard?)

Using the guide at 3ds.guide, I installed luma3ds, and everything seems to be working perfectly, all except one thing: after following through with his steps on installing tickets, all the games I had (which were wrapped again, but all there) completely vanished. One of the tickets failed to copy, but the rest were fine. I tried redownloading them, but it gets to 99 and errors. (probably because the game data is still there.) I don't know what to do now. Any help?

can I run legal 3ds backups, nds, gba, without flashcard? Straight out of the microsd?
