This Tutorial shows you how to Uncensor and Undub Xenoblade Chronicles X EU/US and repack it back into .app Files so you can install them with the Brazilian Install Method so no Loadiine is needed for this at all.

Requirements :
- Time and Patience
- Downloaded/Ripped Versions of both the JP and the EU/US Version of the Game in (.app Format)
- Java
- Mocha CFW, Haxchi CFW or any kind of Signature Patches on your Wii U
- Ability to read this

1. First of all get both GameVersions EU/US and JP as WupInstaller Package with whatever tool you normally use.

2. Download JNUS Tool from this Thread :

3. Open the config file with your desired Editor like NotePad++ and put in the Wii U Common Key which i can't provide here in line 2. (Hint use google or similar)

4. Copy both Game Versions into Folders Names tmp_TITLEIDHERE for example tmp_00050000101C4C00 for Xenoblade Chronicles X EU. Do the same for the JP Version.
(Just put in the Numbers for your US Version instead.)

5. Hold Shift While being in the JNUS Folder and open a Command Line Window by rightclicking into Empty space. Click "Open Command Window here" to open CMD.
Type in the following command :

java -jar JNUSTool.jar 0005000012345678 (Insert the Title ID there instead of 12345678)

and press Enter.

6. A Window Should open Showing you the Content of the Game. Mark all 3 Folders with a Tick and Press Download and it's gonna Unpack your Game in Loadiine Format (this takes a while it was arround an Hour for me).

7. Do the Same Process with the 2nd Game Version. (Repeat 4-6 for the other Version)




8. Get the Undub Patcher from here :

9. Open the Patcher and set the Source as your JP Version Folder. Important Select the "Content" Folder not the Root. As Destination set the EU/US Version and also set the Content Folder.

10. Select what you want to patch and Click Patch. This is gonna take arround an Hour aswell. When it's done your EU/US Version is already patched and ready to be repacked.



11. Grab the NUSPacker from this Thread :

12. Hold Shift while being in the NUSPacker Folder and open a Command Line Window like before. In the Command Line Window write this :

java -jar NUSPacker.jar -in "inputDir" -out "outputDir" -encryptKeyWith 12345678123456781234567812345678

12.1 Replace "inputdir" with your files location this Time the root folder with "content, "meta" and "code" in it.
12.2 Replace "outputdir" with your desired Folder where it is gonna install your finished Files.
12.3 And replace the Numbers after -encryptKeyWith with the Wii U Common Key again. Again i can't provide that Key here use Google.
12.4 Press Enter



13. Let the Tool do it's magic (can take arround an Hour aswell) and you should have .app files ready to be installed with WupInstaller.


14. Copy the Files to the SD Card and run SigPatches on your Wii U. Boot up WupInstaller after and Install the Game. Don't forget to delete the Old Game before if it's installed. Install the game and make sure you only run the Game with Mocha or Sigpatches on ! Enjoy your Undubbed/Uncensored Game it also works perfectly fine with Patch 1.01E and 1.02U and Online works aswell.

EDIT: Some people have reported issues with the US Version with that Method. I don't know where it comes from if either User Error or the actual Version but with Wii U's being Region Free now anyways i might recommend going with the EU Version instead to be sure it works since i can confirm that myself.


EDIT 2: I advertise against using the Font Option in the Patcher i've got reports that the game doesn't start then and just blackscreens.

It sticks as soon as I open it. It's just a black screen with the Xenoblade loading bar in the bottom right corner. It appears and disappears constantly and doesn't actually load. I guess I'll try one more time.

Seems like either your Undub went wrong or your Unpack/Repack files are damaged.

I'm trying again. I thought it was weird it didn't ask me to update either. I tried running it before I applied the update first, and no notification came up when I ran it. Something must have went wrong.

Well..I guess it's time to give up. I installed the original version with no issues. Redumped and followed the steps again. It just won't pass the first loading screen. This is the third attempt. I'd try more, but the process already takes 6 hours each time. So I guess no undub for me then. Hopefully other people have more luck than me.

Are you able to keep the dub but still include the censored content? What if I already have a save file with my disc copy will it work with the newly installed uncensored USB copy?

Just looked at a screenshot and I can see now you can select just uncensored. Anyone know about using an old save for the US version?

Yes you can only uncensor but like with the whole undub it needs Signature Patches and such. And yes Save Files work like normal you can even switch between Versions.

It uncensores the Outfits on Lin a really young character in the game which had her clothes changed for US/EU.
No other censorship apart from that. For the Titty Slider you need to use Gecko and change some Values in the game itself.

After repacking it I also only hat 39 instead of 69 files which it were previously... does that have something to do with it ?

hmm my repack actually only has 35 Items total. The Packer put's them into bigger file archives than the original game so it being less is correct for sure.
Any specific Info on that Error ? I never got it so far.

Sorry you are right, it was 35 files only. Installing didnt work on one USB, i plugged in another usb and installing worked there but I only get a black screen after running it even with Sigpatches.
I couldn't find anything under /usr/titles/ for the game so I don't know why it didnt want to install on the other USB.

edit: But I noticed even the wiiu is only showing a blackscreen the USB HDD keeps accessing the drive but nothing is happening I waited for like 30 minutes.

Your Package files are Encrypted with the Wii U Common Key ? That's a thing i could think of why it Blackscreens since the Wii U might not be able to play it cause it's been encrypted wrong.

Yup I used a Common Key that I've used on Project Zero and Tokyo Mirage repacks as well, and they work.

That's weired so either the Unpacking Process, Patching or Packaing went wrong. Hard to determine the error here.

Gonna add that to the Guide to leave the Font Option out then. I didn't do it myself of course i would never find that issue....

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought there was more censorship regarding the BLADE acronym having religious affiliation to it. Having Lin's costume restored is nice but I thought the uncensored patch would cover that too. Sorry if I sound nit picky.

I'm not sure about that to be honest.

the wiki states it as the following:

BLADE is an acronym for "Builders of the Legacy After the Destruction of Earth", known as "Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator" in the Japanese version.

From what I understand if we install the DLC it breaks the uncensored patch but do we miss out on any additional content by not installing it?
