Hello Guys,

I have the following Problem:
2 Weeks ago I thought it would be a good idea to try to replace the "TN-Panel" (bottom Screen) of my New Nintendo 3DS XL with A9LH with the IPS Screen from my O3DS XL (which is broken).
It didn't worked and while the reassembling I broke 2 Ribbon Cable Connectors on the Board...
Millerwan already said that he is able to repair my New Nintendo 3DS XL for under 50€ (when just these 2 Connectors are broken.)
My Problem is now that I don't want to send my Nintendo into another Country because he could just keep it...(No German law in France :/) (and I need to pay for UPS Shipment 80€ round trip...)
My local Electronic Store has very Old "New Nintendo 3DS XL" (my one had 9.6) so I thought I can sell my New Nintendo 3DS XL completely or in Parts and then buy a new one,but what is the best Way to sell my Device ?
For what Price can I sell the Console ? (Preferable everything from 120€ to 240€ (on Ebay are working A9LH Consoles sold for around 400€ :O) Here and here

Hopefully I can get some good Tips :)

Thanks in Advance ^^

Merry Christmas and nice Hollidays,
Lucas

I just fixed a 2DS that had a broken ribbon cable clip. It's a pain to fix but it can be done with some tweezers, a 60x jewelers loupe and a sewing needle. Basically the clips are like tweezers in a sense they pinch around the post of the clip to act as a hinge so you have to carefully open the top of the pins up a enough to get them in the little holes on the gray clip. Once you can do that you then just set the clip in place in the opened position(sticking up) and press the little side posts into the base and close. I literally thought I was screwed and couldn't do it myself but I just took my time. I wish I had made a video but I don't have a camera good enough to see due to how small the parts are. I have a junk board and a clip I can try and make a video to show you the process. If I end up making one I'll leave a link in here.

I can vouch for millerwan as he is trusted in the community
Sadly I can't send it to Millerwan because I don't want to pay 80€ for Shipment (I would rather buy a new one than Paying that much)
So I thought I could sell the Parts (Display,Hinche,Touchscreen.....) and get around 100 to 120€ maybe ?
My Problem is I don't know how to sell the Nintendo,Single Parts ? All Together ?
On Ebay ? Amazon ? Somewhere else ?

Where are you? If you are able to use ebay just take all the parts apart and sell it piece by piece. Or sell the motherboard and buy a new one.

Why did you try to use the old 3ds xl screen in the new system? It doesn't work like that. No wonder you broke it.

how about sending it to a german company like konsolenumbau.expert?
he also did my hardmod, so i dont think it should be a problem to do this.
Just ask him, he's also here at the forum or you can contact him through his website.

Oh man, that's a whole other can of worms. I'm in the US or I'd offer to do it. At the time I was doing the repair I lost 2 of 3 clips, easy to do. I was using the wrong tweezers and the thing would shoot out of the tweezers like a bullet out of a gun. I only found one, don't ask me how. You're best bet as stated above would be to sell the mobo as is and look for a working one on eBay. Hopefully you can find one with a low enough firmware on it.

I doubt it would be €80 for the postage I while I dont know postage costs *from* Germany when I have returned consoles to Germany it us usually about £11 which is about €13 , given that uk postage costs are usually more than elsewhere I couldn't see postage there and back being more than about €40 and even that is a steep guess

I suggest you shop around on your delivery company, if the issue is that only certain companies ship things with batteries, just remove the battery before shipping, I'm sure @milerwan will have a spare to hand anyway

I looked on UPS but I think it is just so expensive because I filled in a value for N3DS XL :/
I will wait for now till I have some time for my 3DS
