Homebrew Mario party star rush guest addition black screen

So im not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but might as well see if theres a fix, or if it really matters.
So i've installed the cia for US mario party star rush on my arm9loaderhax 11.2 luma cfw n3ds sysnand. My friend on the other hand has a regular o3ds on 11.2 with the guest edition installed. I get this strange occurence that ive never seen reported before when playing specifically toad scramble. When we play together, 9/10 when we go into a boss battle, the guest edition goes black and my version stops loading. Very rarely have i gone into a boss in multiplayer with specifically the guest edition and have it work. The frame rate playing with the guest edition is also abyssmal if that has anything to do with it. If anyone else has had this issue it would be great to know the cause.

I am having the same problem but a little different. I also have A9LH 11.2 Luma CFW, but my daughter has the actual physical game cart. Her 2ds does not have any sort of homebrew software, and is fully up to date.

She runs the game on her all original system, and I downloaded the free guest mode on my n3ds with a9lh, but we also get the black screen when starting boss fights in toad scramble.

Anyone know what's up with that?

i figured it out, turn of overclocking on the n3ds.
