How it works:

Well first I exploited the glitch in Windows 95/98 to use con/con in run (start con/con for cmd prompt) to force a BSOD. I put this into a .bat file and placed it into the startup folder. Bingo, a BSOD on startup. Now for the red part. In the windows folder there is a file called SYSTEM.INI. I forgot the code (will look it up in a bit) but if you put something into this file the BSOD will turn whatever color you like.

This color changing for BSOD works on all versions of windows (im not sure about windows 8 and above but you can try that, hello friendly csrss.exe)

Above are some extra types of BSOD's i created! Also for more BSOD fun (more like helping me out) visit: https://gbatemp.net/threads/question-is-there-an-equivelent-of-csrss-exe-in-windows-95.453664/

there is a specific command to show the screen of death?
(not talking about that one that deletes system32 or important files)

In windows 95/98 there was a bug that alowed you to get a BSOD.
In run type "con/con"
In cmd type "start con/con"
In internet explorer go to the address bar and type "C:\con/con"

BSOD everytime.
I made a batch file to run "start con/con" and put it in startup :)
(make sure to use these cmds without quotation marks)

i went into system.ini and made the bsod background red.

notice the crappy scandisk message with the green lines :) dont use win95 with dosbox and give it a bsod. then you get green lines and scandisk every time you boot up. I dont think i have used the shutdown button once on that installation... bsod everytime :P

btw if anybody wants a simple batch "virus" that injects a bsod into startup (compatible with windows 95/98) PM me and ill send you a link

Indeed there is, if you make a regedit change on Win2k or later. :P
this is quite wrong for windows 95. He is asking as there was a command prompt open.
This method doesnt work on XP and below. i already explained the cmd i used.

start con/con
(from run prompt) con/con
(from IE) C:\con/con

microsoft change the red screen to blue screen to be less scary XD
I think green would've been better. Yeah sure it might make your think something positive happened at first glance until you read the text but it won't make you scared when you see it pop up.

PS/2 keyboards connected on i8042prt ports

This feature is available in Windows 2000 and later versions of Windows operating system.

Either way, it's amusing that BSODs can be induced at will whether it's through con/con on 9x or the registry edit on newer Windows.
