Would filling out the town projects cause any bugs like what you guys have mentioned? Or is that "safer" than editing a actual town?

Thanks Marc for all your hard work on the editor. You've done a great job! I wanted to point out a couple of things, in case you weren't aware of them. I changed the name of my Mayor and when I write a letter to my villagers, the name at the bottom of the letter is the old name, not the one I just changed it to.
Next, I put some flowers in my storage to be planted later. In the storage, they appeared as ??? items. When I transferred them to my pocket, they appeared as the flowers I had chosen. So there appears to be a problem with the identity of them in storage.
I hope this helps! Keep up the good work!
You must use flower bags or flower (hats), flower (outside) are not meant to be items.
The mainstreet light and mainstreet bench (vertical) appear as invisible objects in my town. I can't even sit on the bench despite it creating a barrier where it is placed. Is it because they're on an acre of pavement? Like do they need to be on a grass only acre?
The welcome amiibo update doesn't allow these two PWP to be visible anymore :-(

Biggest issue I'm having currently is trying to overwrite my save with edited one.
I do have one concern though about the editor, upload my current save there's things like out in the water, ponds and such. Even though it shouldn't be there, like Villager House 5 is out in the water from an unedited file.
edit: well I used a different save manager and overwrite the save. Now I just need to go from here.

stupid old question, My mailbox dont receive mail anymore. i've tried to change [Mayor name/Town name] [Town hall/Train station colors back to original] but nothing. i even changed mailboxes i guess it was my mess up from hacks times before. im guessing something in hex editing went wrong, could someone help me with that? Thank you
You are probably not restoring the original values. I could take a look at it, send me your savegame.

Is it possible to move the entrance to the new amiibo campground? I haven't updated my town yet because mine is spawning in a really inconvenient location

Yes you can, it can either be in the top most side on the left, in the middle or near the bottom.

Can anyone provide a completely new town's full save manager .dat files (exhibition, friend1, garden_plus, mail1, mydsgn1, updated)? I'm looking to see the hex value changes between an old town and just started town. Looking for the files for a town that was just started (like, today at this moment), with nothing done to it except planting the tree/plotting mayor's house.

On the subject of the new campground entrance, I found you can't put it on the opposite side of the map that it started on for a town. I put walls on both sides of my town successfully, but when trying to use the campground entrance on the opposite side of where it started, your character enters with a broken animation, the icon on the map is still aligned for the original side, and when exiting the camp you spawn incorrectly and pass out.

One thing I'm going to need to learn through trial and error probably, is how to accurately place houses and such around the town. It's not super clear on how things are located on the editor.

I'm currently having issues with that too. I change the coordinates but then nothing happens.

I haven't changed their coordinates just yet, mostly cause when I pull up the map editor everything has been moved off to the right for some reason. Like one person's house was on the hill in the game, then loaded up looking like it's in the ocean according to how the map editor looks. So what I'm going to do to make things more clear for me. Is lay down patterns around the spots I want the villagers houses to be use them as a test. I plan to move in all those new Nintendo villagers.
If changes for me I'll let you know. Have you been able to edit anything on your map or have you not been able to just move buildings?

The only thing not working for me is moving buildings and PWPs, all of the other changes I make show up fine.

I just did a bit of moving around myself. I successfully moved a few things in nicer places. Granted still a bit harder to move to exact spots. When you're putting in the coordinates do you press enter to finalize them? Cause if you don't it doesn't move them.

I thought I was, but maybe I forgot. I'll try that later.
Edit: They still won't move
