over the course of the last 11 hours I've been testing mednafen vb, gambatte, mgba, fceumm and snes9x without encountering any audio or video related problems so thats good.

Is there a default rate or latency that the audio is set to (32 or 64 ms)? Just want to be sure, and awesome :P

the setting in retroarch itself should not do anything since I've hardcoded these in the driver itself, the total buffer available right now is 85ms, to at least start any game audio playback the buffer has to reach over 33ms and a buffer underflow which would trigger a re-read up to those 33ms is considered below 18ms.

Cool cool, just double checking :)

you know what actually? with the next compiled nightly builds YOU will be the tester of lower values and see for yourself it it makes a difference to the current one, PR was already accepted for this.

Can't test at the moment, as it's getting late, but I'll test the next build tomorrow morning (eight or so hours from now), I'll let you know ASAP; sorry I can't test right away >.>

But others such as @VinsCool and @ShadowOne333 can help with testing, if they want :P

with that statement I've actually meant everyone reading this topic on here ;)

rpx format hype :grog:

Just tested MAME 2003 yay! Only problem is for vertical shooters there's no way to set the screen 90º, still I think gamepad would be ideal for those kind of games since you can rotate the screen, if only would be Wii U Pro con support...

And what's the recommended romset for this version of MAME?

Hopefully is easier to find that the FBA one (Is even harder for me since that iso site is blocked in my country)

Anyway, my hype is now on the stratosphere. I wonder if a unified Retroarch will be possible sooner or later.

Just look for a mame2003 romset and you'll be fine.

Compatibility is the same as before but now everything is on the new spiffy RPX format :)
If your still having audio issues turning the audio volume level (db) back down to 0.0 fixes it :) (if you had turned it up in previous builds like I did)

Also the new Mame2003 core is really nippy :) Thanks Guys :D
