Ctrbootmanager works when you have menuhax installed.
As it is, I think your only option is to look for a friend who could lend you an exploitable game to reinstall menuhax.
Thing is I still have menuhax installed [I think?], all the files and everything are still on the SD and I haven't changed a thing between when it was working yesterday and when it stopped working today. it's just I can't boot into it for some reason :s and heh having a friend lend me an exploitable game is easier said than done since I don't have any friends that have a 3DS nor do I know anyone that has one either..

Weird. In some hours ill give you my setup in my sd so you can see, ill give you my boot.3dsx and boot.cfg.

Could something of happened that possibly uninstalled menuhax(even though I haven't touched a single setting or anything that would cause it to stop working between last night and today, other than mess around with my SD trying to get ctrbootmanager to work)? All the files are still on my SD and like I said before it was working last night, but I had to turn my 3ds off before it died on me due to me not being home at the time, and when I went and turned it on today and tried to boot into hbl it would stay on the black screen for around 5-10 seconds like it was about to start loading into hbl but instead it just boots into the 3DS home screen. And alright sweet, hopefully once you get things posted, I can hopefully get it functioning and working.. Would hate to lose my homebrew until another version of browser/menu hax gets released :/

Dunno when the log was created or anything since it says date created and modified where both back in : 1/1/2000... and I've only had this version for a couple months now at most.

I just wanna know... Have any of you used menuhax OFFLINE? Like in a train trip or something before all of this? I have been using menuhax since forever and ive been able to use it offline. It has something to do then with the fact that you must change the homebrew payload name to your emunand version!

Not to my knowledge no, every time I have used menuhax I was always online, even yesterday when I wasn't home I still had a wifi connection where I was, and where/how can I find what my emunand version is? unless that required custom firmware, which I do not have.. I haven't dealt with custom firmware or al9h or anything of the sort yet since I don't have a method of doing downgrades and such without doing a hardmod which I don't ever plan on touching.. Waiting patiently for the new DSI exploit thats coming eventually..

Can someone help me? All of a sudden when I hold L before the menu loads I don't go to HBL! :(
Try to change the date and time in your sysNAND to 01.01.2000 00:00, if after that you can go to the internet browser, then use this substitute browserhax to reinstall menuhax:
Old3DS: http://browserhax.dahou.se/spider31hax.php
New3DS: http://browserhax.dahou.se/skater31hax.php
It will take a little bit longer to download (happened to me 3 weeks ago), but it should start normal after that, GOOD LUCK!:yay:

Sorry I remember now I used that on my old3ds 9.2.0-20E, and for new3DS 11.0.0-33E I've used ORAS Basehax. But there is always hardwired downgrading to 9.2.0-20E, like I do if nothing works, the tutorial is easy to find online.

Doesn't that only work with versions below 10.7.0-32? as stated here -- http://browserhax.dahou.se/

As of March 24, 2016, the browser-version-check requires that the installed Old3DS/New3DS browser be on >=10.7.0-32. This does not apply for New3DS v10.2. To bypass this requirement on Old3DS/New3DS(this bypass is only usable prior to 10.7.0-32 since it's fixed with 10.7.0-32), you can do the following(if you want to know how this works see here):

maybe I read your message wrong or something lol.. You're able to use menuhax offline no matter if your using cfw or not. I've just never been offline myself when using it since I'm usually always around a wifi connection when I am using my 3DS.

Exactly. Since forever i've been able to use menuhax offline... I havent changed to A9LH yet. And I'm on 9.2 sysnand. Menuhax is not an online method as far as I can recall it uses a whole in the theme loading protocol the 3ds has to execute a .3dsx file

Pretty much. I just wish I had some knowledge on what the hell happened to my 3ds between last night and today that would of caused menuhax to stop working on me, especially since I hadn't touched it since I turned it off yesterday up until I turned it on today and I know for a fact no one else touched it since no one else is allowed to be on my 3ds.

Well just tried this, and it's pretty much the same thing, pressing "L" or even my method of getting into hbl through pressing "down" on the dpad doesn't seem to do anything at all, just sits on black screens for a few seconds and then boots to the 3ds home screen.

I do notice one thing between booting without pressing anything and when I do press the button to try and load into hbl. booting without pressing anything seems to take way less time to load into 3DS home screen, but pressing the button set to boot into hbl it takes a few seconds on the black screen before it boots to the 3DS home screen.

hmm
get the ropbin according to your fw and system: http://smealum.github.io/3ds/#otherapp rename it menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin, replace with same file on root!
has this bit changed? since I don't think I've ever had a menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin in my root directory...

I do have these files --

ropbinpayload_menuhax_USA25600_old3ds.bin [located in root/menuhax/ropbin]
menuhax_USA25600_old3ds.bin [located in root/menuhax/stage1]
menuhax_USA25600_old3ds.bin [located in root/menuhax/stage2]

so would I replace the ropbin I get from http://smealum.github.io/3ds/#otherapp and rename it to ropbinpayload_menuhax_USA25600_old3ds.bin and replace the old one?

Btw I don't think this method will work anyways without doing a reinstall, going off of everything on that page..

as stated on the site This does not apply for New3DS. so from my understanding the method would still work on N3DS just fine regardless of version, but on O3DS (which is what I have) it won't work [I even attempted to try it anyways just incase I could get around it and it just kept shooting the nag screen up anyways after a few seconds once I loaded up the browser]..

and ontop of that I've been reading that if you had already Opened the browser and seen the update nag once, it stores it to savedata and blocks it PERMANENTLY. So therefor it wouldn't work regardless anyways.

Well that would explain that at least, and I know about doing a hardmod to downgrade but sadly that's not something I feel like risking, not that I have the tools to do it anyways.. and I can't do this method either
downgrade your NFIRM with DSiWare and a second 3DS
as I don't have the tools for that either.. Sadly still haven't gotten menuhax to work again yet, so I have a feeling I'm out of the homebrew scene once again sadly but this time for unknown reasons :/ I'm just hoping that once this new DSIware exploit comes out a new browser/menu hax comes out as well along side it so that I can go the route of downgrading and getting A9LH and luma..

Just in case, try copying your SD content to your pc, formatting your SD card in FAT32 and paste back only the necessary files and folders (3ds, nintendo 3ds, boot.3dsx and menuhax's payload and config)

Sadly this did not work :/ backed up my SD content, formatted my SD card to FAT32 (which is what it was already on before as well) and pasted back in only the essential files to do everything, went to boot up 3DS and press the button to boot into hbl but like usual it just boots into the 3DS home screen. :( think I'm just SOL and lost my homebrew and sadly I doubt I'll be able to get it back anytime soon, since I don't have any friends who own a 3DS nor do I own any games that are exploitable (and no money to even think about buying one right now), so no exploitable games for me, and I can't boot into browserhax because of the stupid update nag screen so can't go that route either.
