So hypothetically speaking, I could buy one of the Black Friday 3DS's, call Nintendo and tell them my system was broke and tell them to I want to move my NNID to it and they will do it? I am assuming my NNID isn't banned because i can get on miiverse.com and Wii U.

Hey I have a 3ds with a banned Emunand, I was wondering if there was a way to take files from Sysnand which may or may not be banned (hasn't been touched for a while) and unban it using those files.

Thanks. But... If the risk is a reban... Who cares? People using this are banned already anyway, and you could just re-unban yourself with a new ID. The main risk is it hurting innocent people by random chance. That would be super lame. But I don't think Nintendo would ban all the IDs popping up if that's the case. I doubt they are willing to ban innocents.

but we still can replace zzz and api with numbers and compile arm9 file by ourself.
Also somebody more capable still can add RNG to this, furthermore we always can add this fork to luma (if aurora wont prevent us from doing it of course)

Exactly what I mean. People could just unban themselves over and over. If nintendo starts banning people for this, all it will do is hurt innocent customers, and thats not their usual MO.
someone should just make it rando generte console id's i guess the best thing would to be randomly generate one on boot up and let you stick with that one and you can just randomly generate another one if you need too or let you choose or pick id's i dunno

They banned not only pirates and early (contract-breaking) buyers but freakin' reviewers for Pete's sake!
yeah but if nintendo is willing to ban everyone because their id was a victim of being used online then nintendo will be hated for multitude of reasons and end up in a hell of a storm

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
