So I purchased Mario 64 from the eshop and now for some reason it will not let me reinstall it. I am able to install it via cfw and run it that way but if I delete the game and try to redownload it from the eshop it downloads but fails to install. It give me a message that says some of this content is already on the console or something like that before I download it. I dumped my tickets before deleting it so I do have a legit ticket. If I reinstall the game using wupinstaller and a fake ticket and then replace the ticket it installs with my legit ticket using wupclient it still fails to launch on sysnand. Is there a way to delete the ticket from the system with wupclient or completely remove the game? The ticket installs to vol/system_slc/rights/ticket/apps/0008/00000011.tik.

I should also add that I did wipe the system but in doing so it didn't remove the ticket.

I think I found something that might be able to help me as I see this script has the rm command. I guess I'll just have to be super careful I don't brick something by deleting the wrong thing. hahaha

Would it be safe to assume SM64 would be installed to this folder? /vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10199500/ and if I delete this folder and the ticket for the game would it somewhat safe to assume I wouldn't brick my machine?

I've seen this discussed on here before but not sure there was ever a solution found. It seems one you install a backup it's impossible to install the legit version even after deleting it? I'm not sure we have the necessary info to completely remove all traces of the previous install yet.

The thing is, is that I didn't install the backup until after I tried to reinstall the copy from the eshop and it failed so I'm really lost as to why it fails/failed to install even after a format. I'm not near my Wiiu at the moment so will try doing what I said above once I get home.

A system format doesn't even get rid of all traces of the ticket?

Yeah it seems that a format does not remove any tickets. All tickets for every game I installed via wupinstaller were still present on the system after the format.

Actually come to think of it, it didn't even remove the preinstalled Mario Kart from the system. Not sure how extensive the Wii U format actually is.

Was able to fix this by deleting the 00000011.tik file from vol/system_slc/rights/ticket/apps/0008/ with wupclientgui. Redownloaded the game and it installed without a problem. Not sure why the ticket would have prevented the install since it was legit. But just glad it's fix. Wish I would have thought about this before formatting my wii u and ext hdd. Now to reinstall all my games.

I don't think there is but maybe. I might start going through them and matching up the installed ticket with the games in my spare time.
