I just joined this website and was curious if i'm still able to edit my town. I haven't yet before but I did the update and now want to try updating. Is it possible to update if my 3ds is at version 11.2.0?

Sorry to bug you again about this, but could you please fix unlock all PWP option? It keeps corrupting my save file. @marc_max
Can you tell me what does 'corrupting' mean? Which error does the game gives?
Which injecting method are you using? Which version of the editor are you using?

I am using the newest editor.
This is the screen I get when I boot up the game. @marc_max

I get that screen too if I have added the unlock all PWP
If i revert back to the save before unlocking PWP it loads again

I just saw that "Caravan" section in the villager tab. :D

Interesting, interesting. :D

Is it possible to make it so that the Sanrio characters move away like regular villagers?

Apparently not, they seem to be coded differently. Splatoon and Zelda villagers are the same. Seems like they really want people to buy the amiibos.

uh...I know I'm new here and all, but...isn't the person making this doing it on their own time? Robust or not, I have no complaints. :)
I know, I know. I was just wondering. Like what even happened to that guy who made the Wild World editor. I remember going to that Aib
Sadly not. Looks like the game does not load the main street models anymore :-(

Well... Tell me what is hard to use in my editor and I'll try to make it easier. Although I think it's very easy to use, it's pretty self-explanatory.

The editor is web based because I wanted to prove the virtues and possibilities of HTML5. And also, it's compatible with any OS and doesn't need to be installed.

It's not hard to use. I just remember the one for wild world being a little more user friendly. Like here you have to edit coordinates to move buildings and I haven't found a way to undo what I've done. In the Wild World editor, you would just place a building like an item. Truly excellent work what you've done. I hate to make it sound like I'm complaining. I just miss some of what made that so fun to use.

might be off topic but does anyone have a list of the new items in this update? not just the amiibo-exclusives; all the items including the ones harvey sells and are in the RV's.

How I got hacking to work again

*NOTE* for this I am using a v11.2 2ds! So if you don't understand how to use CFW/Luma3ds use this! However, if you don't want to update your ds I am assuming you just use that.

-You will need oothax or another way to open homebrew in 11.2! (I would recommend oothax. You can install it while on 11.2, but it does have more requirements- an physical older version of oot, powersaves, but again, you can use it while on the latest firmware (as of now).

-How to install oothax on 11.2-
(video covers what you will need at start)
-The first few times I tried to open homebrew with oothax it froze. Make sure that your magic meter has filled up before pressing A (AND ONLY A. THE TOUCHSCREEN SEEMS TO CRASH NOW). Try a few times to get it working, and make sure to wait a few moments before pressing A!

**While I am using save manager, which comes preinstalled in the latest starter kit, you can also use JKSV, but I have not tested it, but others have it working. I have however, dumped and imported with save manager and it has worked. But feel free to use JKSV instead. While the process is different, you'll be fine if you know how to import/export saves with it).**

1. Once you have gotten homebrew to work on your ds, update acnl (take this as an opportunity to go through the update intro if you haven't already)

2. BEFORE HACKING ANYTHING, BACK UP YOUR GAME. THE EDITOR IS IN ALPHA, AND CAN CORRUPT YOUR FILE! DUMP YOUR UNEDITED GARDEN_PLUS.DAT ONTO YOUR SD CARD AND PUT IT ON YOUR COMPUTER (You can also use JKSV but this appears to have issues with CFW, and it's unclear if those same issues carry over to this method.)

Also keep in mind:
And be extra careful if you're playing digital, because of the fact you can't play older digital saves unless you manually edit them.

Physical is less finnicky about this.

4. Garden.dat is outdated with welcome amiibo! Your save dump will be called garden_plus.dat! I deleted my old garden.dat, you don't need that one anymore.

5. If this is your first time hacking your town, see step 2. If it isn't, make sure that you have a backup of your latest WORKING town (aka the file you just dumped). I would recommend keeping a backup of your town from step #2 as well as your latest save dump.

6. Now for the editing! Go to the save editor and open your garden_plus file. You may need to scroll down to find the map if you aren't in fullscreen mode.

7. As of now, the editor is in alpha. So I would check this thread to see what issues people had and what is safe to do. Placing items seems to be safe, but I wouldn't suggest doing anything major like editing your acres. If you have a working backup you can still safely experiment, however!

8. Once you are finished editing press "Save Changes" and your edited save should download.

9. Put your new garden_plus.dat in your savedatabackup folder. MAKE SURE THAT IT IS CALLED GARDEN_PLUS.DAT AND NOT GARDEN_PLUS (1 [or 2, 3... etc]).DAT! This will also replace your old save.

10. Take out your sd card, put it back in your 3ds, and open up homebrew. Import your save data with save manager. Press start and close out of homebrew.

11. Open up acnl. Check to see if your edit worked! If it did, congratulations! You got hacking to work!

Feel free to ask me to clarify anything if you don't understand!

I'm sorry to be a bother... I deleted the whole folder for the save manager, checked it before editing my save, and it still will not insert the save data...

Has anyone else encountered this, and how do I fix it? ;;

I'm on ninjhax 11.2 and am also finding the save data doesn't import correctly. I'm using save_manager but when I press B it comes up with a very short message: terminate called recursively and takes me back to the main homebrew screen. What am I doing wrong?

Is your save called "garden_plus.dat"? If you have garden_plus (1).dat or something additional then it won't work.

Also try redownloading the homebrew starter pack again
