Hacking Dropped my 3DS, still turns on to sysNAND (4.2), but emuNAND is nothing but black screens. Help pls

I was playing yo kai watch 2 and had my 3DS in my pocket, it slipped out and hit my wood floors. When I opened it, yo kai watch 2 was frozen, so I restarted my 3DS -->settings --> profile and nintendo DS profile. The gateway dragon shows up and then goes off, as usual, but then it just cuts to a black screen. No matter how long I let it sit on there it never loads my homepage. What do I do

Yes - if you didn't lose your Nintendo 3DS folder they'll all work again. You may have to reinstall any games installed after making your backup. This will work provided you haven't done a system format between making a backup and now

gw bootrate is not 100%, have you try to boot it again? shouldn't be more than 3 fail boots in a row
and check your 3ds sd card to make sure it is not loose

I've tried so many times now Same result each time. Nothing but a black screen. It lets me head to Sleep Mode with the power button, but when I press home from there it just stays on that white loading screen as if it can't get to my homepage.

guess the only things left to try are recopy launcher.dat or backup your saves and redo emunand

try to check if the sd card is working properly, maybe something else was damaged in the fall, it could be that the sd card or the sd card slot is faulty, also check that the red card is working properly, try to take it out, blow the slot and try to get to emunand

Yes, the backup would just blackscreen as well. But if you never unlinked your sysNAND and emuNAND, you can make a new emuNAND and your Nintendo 3DS folder will still work. If you did unlink though, you're out of luck (unlinking means formatting your sysNAND to avoid the unwrapping bug). You may be able to do something with extracting moveable.sed but that's outside my area of expertise (something you can google though - try searching for recovering save games with no backup moveable.sed)

Did you back then up with JKSM or savefiler or anything before this happened? If so you're fine.

The files in the Nintendo 3DS folder will only work if no system formatting happened.

eject and insert the SD card to the console until it works.

I have had cases where the SD card can be accessed but emunand won't work with SEVERAL consoles where I just have to eject and insert the SD card until it works. I dunno what it is but that is what helps. Try it before any fucking REFORMATS and shit.

Its sounds to me like ab SD card issue, doesn't necessarily mean EmuNAND has corrupted! First thing to try is to make sure the SD card hasn't been knocked out of place and try reinserting it a multiple amount of times.

Second thing to try is to copy over the card contents, formatting the SD partition (leave EmuNAND) and than copying back, but download a fresh copy of the launcher.dat and replace the old file.

Back up your current emuNAND. I can walk you through moving the data (saves, CIAs, friend list etc.) onto your new emuNAND once you get it booting again.
I had to do it myself when I had a partially broken emuNAND (couldn't update), it can be done easily with GodMode9.

Back up your current emuNAND. I can walk you through moving the data (saves, CIAs, friend list etc.) onto your new emuNAND once you get it booting again.
I had to do it myself when I had a partially broken emuNAND (couldn't update), it can be done easily with GodMode9.

I tried multiple times to do so, but it kept stopping at 30% and gave me error=1117 "I/O Device error". Did multiple things to try and fix it, but nothing worked, so I just bit the bullet, backed up my NAND via the gateway screen, backed up all my files and formatted my emuNAND. I'm not sure if there's any hope for a reinstallation with the NAND.bin file I made or if there's something I can do with my saves.

Again, it sounds like the sd card or sd port is at fault. try copying the data of the sd card to the computer and use another one to test if it works. Remember you have to inject the old emunand into the new sd for it to work. If you're using a micro sd with an adapter, change the adapter and check it's not in read only mode.

My guess is that it was writing to NAND (ie the SD card) at the time it was dropped, and the drop dislodged the card a little so the data got corrupted. And now their emuNAND is corrupted.
