Both the Kernel Update (v7.04) and the DAT update (v7.04 6599) are being detected by Windows Defender (Win10) as "Trojan:Win32/Spursint.A!cl".
Why is that, hoping for explanation because I'm kinda scared of using it now.

With the GOLDR4 3DS (DSTT/i), i am struggling to find a way to do it. my ds shows a blank card (as shown in the image) and when i press it, it opens to 2 white screens and i cannot do anything. i also have a picture of the card. Any help would be greatly apprieciated. if someone could please send a screenshot of the contents inside their card that would be amazing.

Well considering none of the files are Windows Executables and you'd be hard pressed to find 159 pages commending some form of DS malware (if that even exists), I feel it's just a false positive.

First of all, thanks for the hard work, @retrogamefan. You're doing an excellent job.

R4 SDHC Dual-Core RTS 2016 (from www.r4isdhc.com) with a class 6 8GB µSD.
Since it is a cheap clone with programmed obsolence (aka "time bomb"), I set up YS Menu* as Primary Kernel following this thread to avoid this. (The stock kernel is very ugly too).

*Multi Cart update v7.04 and DAT Update v7.04 6599
Games
  • 4759 - Sonic Classic Collection [A8C8E36F] - Game is laggy, slow down until freeze.
  • 5584 - Pokémon White Version [EDCD5161] and 5585 - Pokémon Black Version [E2BEE619] - Loads normally. Sometimes can save, but usually cannot and freezes. If it saves, can load normally after, but it is unreliable.
  • 6149 - Pokémon Black Version 2 [690ED042] and 6150 - Pokémon White Version 2 [95AB5437] - Loads normally, no lags. Freezes when try to save.
Looks like the 5th Generation Pokémon Games are really an issue for a lot of R4 users. Strangely, they worked perfectly at my old Acekard2i (AKAIO 1.9.0) years ago... Well, keep it up!

Secondly: can any one help me with pokemon black 2 cheats?
ROM works perfectly if the cheats are off but as soon as I try to reload with cheats enabled I just get black screen after the one boots! :(
 
What is the difference between primary kernel and dual booting and what should I use for a normal TTDS flashcard? I'm trying to boot it from the ntr launcher, but it gets stucked when the happy microsd "loading" shows up...

hey bro, maybe u should try the previous kernel 3.7, the latest 3.8 cant run pokemon black and black 2,

I'm really struggling to get what appears to be an R4 SDHC v2 working on my DSLite. I managed to download an official kernal that gets as far as a black loading screen then freezes. any help would be greatly appreciated
 
Hi all, i am after a bit of help please.
my oldest 2 sons used to play on their NDS a few years back, now i have found out their old flash cartridges and memory cards for my 4 year old son who now has a NDSI.

However i cant seem to get any of them to work. - keep receiving message an error has occurred please press and hold the power button to turn the system off.


The NDSI is running firmware 1.3e.

Please advise which firmware / max sd cards sizes etc or any other help you can offer? see attached images of cards.

Here's a package for the original R4 (non-HC r4ds.cn/r4ds.com and 100% compatibles) that includes the encrypted version so that it can be installed as primary kernel, and fixed soft reset (no more TTDS loading screen)!

Cheats not included to save space, get them from OP's "DAT update" package :)

I have a R4V-R4i v2.2/v2.5 - www.r4-v.com and I'm using YSMenu as a primary kernel. Everything works except the soft reset, which shows a white screen with a red icon saying "MENU?". Any way to get it working?

Apparently my combination is L+R+Select+Start for soft reset.

So now my question is, with the L+R+X+Y+B+A combo can I load YSMenu again??
To avoid shutting down the NDS and loading it up again.
