Hacking [Release]Digimon Story Next 0rder English Conversion

@Nobunaga If possible could you link me to the tools you used to make the cpk so I can see if I can try to make it smaller?

The problem is that the original files are compressed, whereas the current version of CriPak doesn't support compression for this version of CPK. The resulting repacked CPK is an older build than the one used for Neo.
This has no technical setbacks, but results in a bigger file since back in that version compression wasn't introduced yet. That's the whole issue behind it.


Also: The Files are compatible with the Japanese Version as well. Results in a nicer font there. I've been meaning to post my Next Order dump but I was too busy

If I am not mistaken you can change the font by just renaming the files !
There are 3 font files though don't want to mess around more with them xD

You're right, you can but you'll mess up other fonts in the process
But to be honest I'm not particularly fond of Next Order either way.
I'll keep working on Decode.

That's strange because my repack came in at 344MB instead of 356 but I might've done something wrong.

It's not the battle system I'm having issues with.
Not even the 2 Partner System:

It's the absence of 63 Cyber Sleuth Digimon in favor of 51 recolors.
It's the absence of the Medal System.
It's the fact that you can't collect cards and look at them until post game.
It's the fact that the story can be cleared within 8 hours.
It's the fact that fishing has no rewarding.
It's the fact that after recruiting Taomon (2 hours into the game) your city barely changes after.

Funny thing - Koromon just evolved into Black Agumon...well, Guts style.
But one thing I like about Next Order, are the tamer skill system, getting unique skills & better digieggs is always nice.

I wanted nothing more but to love the game. But it gives you a hard time as it's not the same quality as Cyber Sleuth.
Just don't expect the same quality as from Cyber Sleuth, you might end up being disappointed.

What I dislike is that most Digimon recruitments are grinding quests.
Like "get 5 of these, 2 of that". No recruitment feels original, that's kinda really a pity.
The original Digimon World had very elaborate and original recruitments, like playing catch with Biyomon, working at Monochromons shop, winning in curling against Penguinmon.
Next Order has none of those, unfortunately

If they could put quests like that in the latest game it would be amazing and the game would have re-playing value also!
I have only played Digimon World 1 and 3 but never get to finsish them because my Playstation 1 broke unfortunately xD
But I would gladly try them once PSX emulation is out on Vita!

Yes than it would really make sense to buy the PS4 Version. I hope it will be improves massively. The idea of Next order was great in general.
I just feel like it could have used a couple more months in development. But I don't want to get my hopes up. xd

They are just going to make a re-mastered version with better graphics I don't think we will see anything new :/
Even if they did develop a bit more I don't think they would add quest-lines or story quests maybe a few Digimon because that's what the game is lacking and a few other things of course ^^
