I've got two O3DS setup with Luma and a9lh, one was a 4.5 that I'd been using gateway on, just made the switch. The second was 10.7 (really glad i blocked nus systems on the home firewall) spent most of the weekend getting them both on 11.1, luma and a9lh, and everything was a huge success kids love playing online again and i don't have to worry about someone accidentally updating the damn thing, it's great.
Now my wife really wants to play the one exclusive game to the N3DS and of course I want to hack it just because!
From the research time I've spent on this it looks like my odds of getting an 11.0 stock firmware are high, but since i can do DSIware downgrade https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/DSiWare-Downgrade
does it make any difference usage wise if i get a 10.7 or an 11 stock firmware? or is it a wash in the end?
From the guide it sounds like it won't make any difference at all.
Also since I'm going from O3DS to N3DS it sounds like the nnid on the source O3DS will essentially be broken after the transfer, but according to this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/manually-unlinking-a-nnid-without-nintendo.438361/ once I'm done with the N3DS downgrade I can format the N3DS and open it up to link a fresh nnid, then unlink on the O3DS (After restoring the pre-transfer nand of course) and then relink it. I don't have anything in the nnid to speak of anyway, so i could care less which nnid ends up where but i don't like the idea of crippling my O3DS for the sake of the N3DS.
