Just to clarify, I never said that Vulkan wouldn't provide a speed boost. My point has always been that the time and effort required outweighs any benefits that we may potentially gain from Vulkan in the short term. People always look only at the performance but there are many other factors to consider (compatibility, drivers bugs, adaptability etc.). I am sure there will be Vulkan support eventually, but for now we have got other things to worry about.

it may be possible with rpx editing or with some sort of cheat like code. Mind for those who think mk8 can be the same as smash 4 in dlc that is only due to the ability to edit just about everything for smash 4. Mario kart 8 sucks with certain modding abilities and heavily relies on gecko codes.

If you're looking for a good card and you don't mind nvidia take a look at the 1060 tho if your AMD only then the RX 480 will do.
Oh then in that case grab a r7 260x or a used 7970/7950.
