Hi!

I've gone back to my Wii after a year trying to get WiiFlow to work with Skyward Sword. After all this time I noticed the videos and tutorials about changing the dol for boot, but my WiiFlow doesn't have this option!

I tried updating from 4.2.1 to the megapack, no option. I tried re-following all the ModMii steps, nothing. It just says category. I've googled far and wide and I've seen a lot of people ask why it's missing for them but no response.

If anyone knows, please share.

Going through the source code I can see where they setup the menu:https://github.com/FIX94/open-wiifl...29804da/source/menu/menu_config_game.cpp#L155

However judging by that code, the dol option should only be accessible to GC games. Not sure where this leads me.

Thanks! Anthony

The dol boot option is not needed anymore.
Only a few select games had to use this option because they were divided is changeable dol files on the original disc/dump.
THe wiimotion plus instruction video is a separate dol for instance as are the files on the for the games on the metroid prime trilogy release.

With the release of the latest d2x cios and current backuploaders the need for separate dol loading has been fixed.
Games load normaly like a physical release.

Make sure your softmod is up to date and you should have zero problems.

Thanks a lot Hielkenator, I've been drawing at straws for hours so that information is super helpful. I have the latest d2x cios wads bundled through the WiiFlow megapack, installed via MMM. Was this the incorrect thing to do? I didn't install them via the d2x installer.

I saw this in the release notes and followed it using MMM:

*First things first: For proper function of Wii games and Homebrew apps: Make sure your Wii is properly modded and use ModMii to make your IOS/cIOS up to date. IOS 58, D2x cIOS v10 v52 and v53 are recommended. Original Hermes or Rodries cIOS mod are optional.
For Gamecube Games: DiosMios/DiosMios Lite latest wad should be installed into the Mios slot along with clean BC6. Devolution loader in \Wiiflow folder should be there for Devo to work.
Everything mentioned above is in the pack.

Install the wads from wad\IOS_DM(L) folder:
-------------------------------------------
BC-NUS-v6.wad on both real and Emunands
RVL-mios-v10.wad on Emunands

Real Nand IOS/cIOS:
IOS58-64-v6176.wad
cIOS202[60]-hermesrodries-v6.wad
cIOS222[38]-hermes-v5.1.wad
cIOS223[57]-hermes-v5.1.wad
cIOS224[37]-hermes-v5.1.wad
cIOS245[37]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt.wad
cIOS246[38]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt.wad
cIOS247[53]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt.wad
cIOS248[55]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt.wad
cIOS249[56]-d2x-v10-beta52.wad
cIOS250[57]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt.wad
cIOS251[58]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt.wad
cIOS252[56]-d2x-v10-beta53-alt.wad

Look through the settings on WiiFlow and see if you can find one named "Block IOS Reload". It keeps the individual dol files from switching from the cIOS to their default one.

I dug around and couldn't find it anywhere. Which settings page is it on? And you are referring the the megapack wiiflow right? Thanks!

You shouldn't need to force video modes unless you're playing a game that's from a different region.
