Problem with WhatsApp on encrypted system

Ayy guys, I have a problem with WhatsApp. After I have encrypted my system, cyanogenmod 13, WhatsApp can't download photos, videos and audios. Is there a workaround? Can I edit WhatsApp to save the medias on an external SD card? If you need further information just ask.

Try reinstalling whatsapp and if you dont want to loose your chats make a backup before you reinstall whatsapp.

I think that it's for the same problem.

If Whatsapp isn't making backups or working properly when your device is encrypted, it might be a bug in the app itself. Perhaps you should report it.

Try going to settings, apps, click on WhatsApp and then clear data / cache (won't destroy anything) Try to see if it works. Many apps have issues with CM12/13, but let's see if this works. I'm having issues recording videos on Snapchat, but there's no fix for it yet. :/

Wait sorry, I fucked up. Go to Settings > Storage > Click Apps > Click Whatsapp and then click clear cache / data

nah, but if you wanna be on the safe side, just click clear cache; even though I'm certain it shouldn't..

I click clear cache but it just doesn't work, I'll try stopping the app...

I'd probably report it to Whatsapp. If many people are using CM, it might be an issue that many other people are experiencing. If they tell you to report it to CM, then I'd probably do that then.
