I have a DSTwo Plus with the latest firmware on it (I just bought it) from the Supercard website. v1.14.

I have a DSi with v.1.4.
- The DSTwo+ works.

I also have a DSi XL with 1.4.5.
- The DSTwo+ does not work. It is detected as the correct game, but when I launch it, I get the ever-known "An error has occurred" and tells me to turn off the DS.

I had done what I thought was a lot of reading and comparing before I bought the DSTwo+. It's my understanding that it is compatible with 1.4.5. Did I get the wrong impression during my research, or do I need to do something else?

I thought it was working... because it loaded once. But not after power cycling.

I'm not sure how to tackle this. It's quite weird.

What I did before:
- Unzipped the 1.4.5 patch. It placed itself into a _dstwo folder.
- I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I merely placed it in the root of the SD card named _dstwo 2.
- The DSTwo+ was detected and launched.
Then it was rebooted and it just errors out now.

What I've done:
- Slow reformat with Panasonic's SDFormatter utility.
- Formatted the DSi system software
- Copied the _dstwo system folder by itself. No improvement.
- Copied the _dstwo 2 folder as before. No improvement.
- I realized the files system1.dat and system11.dat in the patch are in the _dstwo folder, so I copied patched ones over the originals. No improvement.

I'm at a loss. I seem to have replicated everything the way it was when it worked once before power cycling the DSi.

Suggestions would be great. :)

Did you manage to fix it? I had the DSTwo+ working fine, then I updated the DSi XL to 1.4.5u, and it wont work anymore.
Same thing, it detects the flashcard but when I try to launch it, "An error has occured."

Does anyone have a solution?

You can update the DSTWO while it's blocked.
Indeed.
@Merlow
To do that you'll need to rename "dstwoupdate.dat" to "dstwoupdateb.dat"
Then launch the card and leave it on the "an error has occurred" screen for a few minutes, give it 10 minutes just to be sure. The cart will update in the background.

It's funny how it first were two minutes, then five and now ten :D
