Don't you have to set the 3d slider to on in order to finish format system setup?

Ehm, according to the guide i use tinyformat to format sysnand, then it reboots into the system setup for language/name/nnID etc.. But it either goes black and turn off when i click next after i choose the language or when its wanna show me the 3d image. (i might have misunderstood you, sorry if that happends to be the case)

That very uncommon to me, but have you tried selecting other language options so see if it fix?
Maybe try it without sd car inserted?

Wow, this is incredible.
I saw that you can use the eShop with the Homebrew Launcher. Therefore I guess it's still possible to use the eShop with a CFW installed.
But is it also possible to purchase and download things with such a piracy firmware? And if so, do these CFW spoof the shop that I still use the normal firmware (don't want to get banned)?
Yes you can use the eShop with CFW. Since 11.0 is the latest update, don't use the Homebrew Launcher's eShop. Yes it is possible to purchase and download things frommthe eShop with no issues. You shouldn't get banned for buying things through the eShop with CFW.

Open luma settings, if autoboot system nand, is enabled disable it
Now it says emu 9.2, thanks

Ok, one more question, since I disabled "autoboot sysNAND" when I launch Luma3DS, I get Emu 9.2 in system settings. When I turn it off and turn it back on and go to system setting, it says "Ver 9.2.0" not "Sys 9.2.0." Even though it says that, its SysNAND right?

Yes.

  • You must launch Luma3DS from the Homebrew Launcher every time you want to boot RedNAND

  • If you do not see "Emu" in front of the version number, then you are not on RedNAND. DO NOT UPDATE, FIND WHAT WENT WRONG

Planning to switch from rxTools to A9LH, but not sure where to start in the Plailect guide!

O3DS on SysNAND 9.2 Emunand 10.6.0-31u. I believe I have Menuhax/CTR Boot set up so that it boots into Emunand without me touching anything.

Would it be better for me do this on a clean SD card with no hacks?

I'd prefer to keep my CIA games and saves (installed on the Emunand)

After I install a game that's .cia I can delete it from the sd card right? Seems it installs elsewhere

Also is there a way to reorganize icons on the home screen?

You can delete the CIAs after installing them.

Drap and drop the icons on the home menu to reorganize them.

Delete boot.3dsx on your SD card, and replace it with this
You should boot into the homebrew launcher. Open menuhax_manager
From there, select Configure/check haxx trigger. Select type 1, hold down on the Dpad, then tap the touchscreen. Menuhax will now work on boot, only when DPad down is held
Now, do steps 1-3 here, then finish the guide starting from step 12 (In other words start from Part 3, and skip steps 4-11 there. Do everything else)

I am now on:

Section VI - Finalizing setu

Reinsert your SD card into your 3DS then press Start to reboot
Update your CFW SysNAND to the latest version using system settings (if it is not already)
Open Health and Safety (which is now FBI)

but when i boot my 3ds it stays on a black screen, any ideas?

Turn off system, remove sdcard, if it boots, reinsert sd card after boot.

I have a question about soft modding. My brother gave me his old 3ds(US) with 8.0fw and was thinking of updating it to 9.2 and installing cfw. I myself have a n3ds(EU) with latest ofw and was wondering if it is possible to use soft mod to set the n3ds back to an older fw.
