Hello all. Just joined although I've been reading this thread for a while. Just joined Patreon too since I had heard DK Tropical Freeze was finally working...

It is not working for me, Cemu always crashes after about 15 seconds of gameplay. I tried to disable "overwrite vertex" and others (in a random fashion I must admit, I don't understand much of the options...) with no success. I only managed to make the game slower.

There seems to be a problem with the controllers too. Only the gamepad is recognized. Pro and classic controllers don't work. Even for 2nd player. Since there can only be 1 gamepad connected, I can't find a way to play in multiplayer mode.

The World 1 of DK Tropical Freeze crash a lot.
Download a savegame of the game, in the other Worlds run a lot better.
In this suforum there is a post with savegames.

Some more Super Mario 3D World gameplay. I only caught one graphical glitch in this level (when I passed the midway flag).

The graphics are pretty much perfect, I got around 25-35 FPS in Twilight Princess.

So, forgive me for asking, but I've been out of the loop for about three weeks. What's new in version 1.5.4? (The website doesn't say)
Same here lol... I haven't even been updating a certain list that often. Apparently I have to renew my Patreon stuff and only now just realized it too.

Can't wait to try out Tropical Freeze and Splatoon now.

Does anyone know if playing Super Mario 3D World from a .wub format, alters the loadingtimes or FPS in any way?
Because when I started using my .wub/.wux for Mario Kart 8 instead of loadline .rpx, the loadingtime was cut in half, or even more, and I seem to be getting better FPS.

Just wondering if it's worth ripping my game again, just to get the .wub. I deleted it after extracting everything :/

Technically the results should be the exact opposite, then again it is a question of how cemu handles games being in FST format. Dolphin has opposed to logic also hjgher loadingtimes when being confronted with unpacked filesystems
Maybe the emulators have to simulate repacking the game on-the-fly to make them work correctly or something

Turn off streamout guys. Its the reason a lot of games broke this update. It crashes mk8 in a few seconds, glitches out all characters in sm4sh,breaks the transparent pipes in 3D world and more. @Exzap why is this feature breaking so much?
thank I'll try

To be clear, NOT having streamout breaks SSB chars. It's only affecting MK8/SM3DW AFAIK.

And Exzap obviously created this option because some games need it, some want it off. Get used to it. That's how emus work, especially major WIP ones that need to balance perfecting everything in ONE config vs. making more progress on emulation and providing workarounds accordingly (feature options).

Odd. It messed them up when i had it off.... you 100% sure?

This is why i always put emu games in different folders so each game can have its own settings :)

I used to have wux files but now there extracted so i can update them etc

Folder of games

Inside Super Mario 3d world folder (Game image is also named Super Mario 3d world), each game has same layout

I use the shortcuts that are in each folder with Launchbox.
pW4r8vY.jpg

Inside each shorcut the target is directed to the Cemu.exe and the Rpx file inside each game and i added -f to launch fullscreen.

This way its just run shortcut and game loads the Rpx of whatever game and it goes fullscreen by itself, also cause each game is in its own folder different settings can be applied to each game if needed :D

Eg of shortcut "E:\CONSOLE GAMES\WII U\SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD\Cemu.exe" "E:\CONSOLE GAMES\WII U\SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD\Super Mario 3D World\code\RedCarpet.rpx" -f
