DON'T FORGET... GPU is also the important part in CEMU...

i can get 50 fps in mario kart 8 (grand prix mode) with weak i3 CPU (using Nvidia GTX 750Ti)
before i can only get 25-30fps in mario kart 8 (grand prix mode) with my weak i3 CPU + GT740.

after i upgraded my GPU from GT740 to GTX750Ti (with using my weak i3 CPU)

i can get 50 fps in mario kart 8 (grand prix mode)

here is the proof (recorded with Nvidia Shadow Play)

NSMB WiiU may run ok . Other games will not run at full speed or may be too slow to be playable
Even though it's a quad core CPU , its performance per core (single thread performance) is much worse than Haswell / Skylake CPU
AMD-880K-35.jpg
I have A10 6790k @ 5.0GHz , it's only on par with Pentium Haswell G3258 @ 3.2GHz (stock speed) in Dolphin
Since Athlon x4 880k is unlocked CPU , you should overclock it as much as possible
You will need high end CPU like i5 4690k/i7 4790k @ 4.4GHz or i5 6600k/i7 6700k to run MKWii at full speed (grand prix mode)

will v-sync and the option to switch through different resolutions also be available? that screen tearing gives me eyecancer if i have got to be honest

Those graphics cards are both terrible, so it makes sense that you were dropping frames.

The screen tearing is awful, indeed. However, you can just enforce v-sync via your gfx control panel (at least it works with nvidia, I don't know about AMD).

looks like the missing limbs bug in Twilight Princess (on AMD cards) is still a thing :( . On the other hand this emulator still has soooo many more iterations before 1.0 (something most people on this thread really need to keep in mind) so I can't get too mad ^.^

ok, then do you or somebody know how to switch the resolution to full hd or isn't it possible at this point?

No, it can't be done. What you see is what you get. Remember, CEMU is still in very early days. Features like that don't come to emu's until way down in their development cycle.

To be more precise it crashes instantly before it can start the falling animation. I don't think cemu can access it for some reason.

I have the exact same problem. In Cemu 1.5.2 it used to work perfect, but now the game crash's whenever i drop from a ledge.

It somehow fixed itself after a reboot and I beat the entire game in one sitting. It was fun to play though it. It seems like playing through the first super mario 3d world level in captain toad fixes the falling bug. I'm assuming it gets the correct shader.cache from those game files or something to that affect.

Weirdly enough.if I plug my laptop into my TV and set it to display 2 only,it gets rid of the wierd blur effect in cemu when fullscreened and it actually looks a lot better. I just wish @Exzap would put this option in cemu to disable the bilinear filter or not. Textures look way better sharper in cemu. If you guys like I can post screenshots of the wierd phenomenon

Captain Toad EUR 1.1 currently crashes for me whenever I fall off of any platform anywhere
Game still works

Load the second level and walk on the bridge so it falls. Exit the level. Cemu won't crash when you fall off surfaces now.
