Hey people,
Not trying to end your cheat code conversation but I have a problem that I cannot find the answer to if any of you are willing to help.
I have...
-A Black Wii with the homebrew channel
-A 2GB SD card
-The latest version of Nintendont (v4.14 (Wii) Firmware 58.24.32) 251 Block emulated memory
-A 1TB Toshiba external hard drive (FAT32,
-I've looked through all the trouble shoot options on the first page and none apply to my problem

My problem is, either my games freeze almost right after they load or 5-10 minutes of playing. The games go to the Nintendo gamecube error screen that all gamecube games have, telling me to check the gamecube manual and turn off my game (im sure your all familiar).

I can load games fine, all games are found, there usually isn't any freezing upon the nintendont load of my game. The only problem is the Nintendo error screen.

Ways of tried to fix this already:
- I had a 2TB hard drive but was told nintendont doesn't work well on 2TB's so I got a 1TB (same problem)
- I have played multiple games on nintendont all 1.35 GB exactly so I can say with 95% certainty its not the games
- I have formatted my drive to differnet allocation sizes (right now the sector size is 512 as stated by nintendont) always FAT32
- I have played WBFS files off the same drive (it was formatted to WBFS when I did that)
- I have redownaloaded nintendont numerous times
- USB GX Loader loads my wii games as did wii flow

Basically I have tried everything and it seems that nintendont is the problem but who knows, I don't know what could possibly be wrong, any ideas?

Also I wanted to try downloading an old version of nintendont but couldn't find any. I anyone has an old version that would also be helpful.

ill try the thumbdrive but I prefer a large drive because I have a lot of games and I like all my stuff on the same drive. and what do you mean be previously?

It's always worked to an extent but my games have always froze like I described.

Installed it probably 6 months ago, didn't work (the same way it doesn't now)yesterday I restored my wii, rehacked it, got a new hardrive and sd card, and reinstalled nintendont same problem... Leading to my frustration and my post.

During sdml-v2 testing today, I noticed it would load the Japanese bios if given the J game id and region code 0000
but sdml-v2 detects it as America and loads the American codelist instead of the Japanese one.
Europe and America both detect it properly and load their codelists also showing the correct country flag graphic.
If you want I can send you all 3 sdml-v2 images for testing.

just continued my work from yesterday, this stuff is far more complicated than I initially thought:
-added new patch into nintendont to allow a even lower memory region for patches
-more massive cheats rework, now it is in even lower mem1 memory together with the codehandler (mem2 seems to be very instable for it), also now there is a codehandler specifically for debugging and non-debugging to use the available space as efficient as possible
-modified the debugging codehandler to actually work in this low memory region, should hopefully accept breakpoints as good as it did in the past in the default area
-fixed possible bug in both debugging and non-debugging codehandlers

after all these changes I felt like cleaning up things, was needed.
-enabled commented out fwrite patch again, works fine
-made the patching system a little cleaner
-compressed loader font to save some space

now what I mean with making the patching system cleaner is that certain patches now just are skipped if not needed, I've made a good example here with melee, check out this patch log with native control on and everything else off/auto:
Patch:Game ID = 47414c45

When USB Loader GX dls Gamecube not Wii codes where does it place them?
directly in the games folder + game or in the codes folder?
I set gct and txt to seperate codes and txtcodes folders but that only seems to be the setup for Wii games,
Nintendont requires the .gct files to be in the game folder?
