So it is possible.
They would have to do it through successive updates without anyone noticing what was added in the first update. If you want to be super safe, just don't update in the next update or the one after that, and wait to see if anyone starts saying their a9lh no longer works. Then after that wait till the devs fix it and you can update safely. But to be honest, there's probably only one more update left in the console's lifespan anyway.

Bad guys always win. And we are bad guys...
Even If nintendo really patched all exploit.... we can still descrypt the firmware by bruteforce and therefore edit it. However it would take a millenium...

No not true. If you encrypt something with a key which is as long as the data itself, then there is literally no way to know how the data looks like -> impossible to brute force

All they have to do is check the hash of your firm partitions before and after the update. Then, they can run the LED brick code on all of the consoles that have no change.

I'm pretty sure they don't have to use the LED brick code specifically. They can brick your console using other methods.

i know! my dad works at nintendo!

Talking seriously, we are unable to know what Nintendo is currently doing atm

We don't know if they are patching something, if a new game is comming and you gotta update to that version, or even if they are trying to patch A9LH

Ban this Guy, He must be the Nintendo's Spy who Leaks our Tricks :P Lol Just Kidding.

AFAIK, the led brick cannot even be recovered with a hard mod....
This is Nintendo we're talking about, since the 3DS is their own console, they can probably brick the 3DS some other way that's unrecoverable.

i dun think 3ds would have a great update in this time....at least until NX woudnt be release ...they are wasting all his energies and resources on shield his new console.

so i dun think they will fuk us....not because they cant....they havent enought time :D

greetings

To my knowledge, it would be illegal in the US to brick someone's console on purpose because they modified it.
