1. If you installed A9LH at least a couple of weeks ago and never updated it to get the boot w/o the SD card, then you can try the simple test of booting w/o the SD card. If it boots, then it's fine.

2. Place Decrypt9.bin as arm9loaderhax.bin on the SD card root. If your console boots into it, A9LH is still installed.

3. If the backup your restored was your 9.2 backup and you did NOT select the "keep A9LH" option in D9, then it's uninstalled.

It boots without the SD card. The hack needed the SD card. Installed it weeks ago and didnt update al9h. The firmware now is 9.2. If the person updates the 3ds it should work? Cause i read something about firm block.

FIRM protection is done by a CFW, and you are not running a CFW anymore. The console is restored to it's original state and FIRM is not protected.
(also, FIRM protection does not block updates, it just protects arm9loaderhax from being overwritten by an update, but you don't have it anymore anyway)

Hey everyone, I haven't been up to date with the Gateway 3ds updates for around 2 years now. I've occasionally been playing on my O3DSXL with 4.5 sysnand and emunand GW3D 9.4. I recently got a new3DSXL stock 9.9. I was checking if the 9.9 new3ds works with the Gateway 3ds cart? The official website mentions 'Works on 2DS, 3DS & 3DS XL firmware up to 10.7 with 11.0 workability' but I'm still confused and no guide for me to follow?

Follow this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki You can get Gateway to work with it afterwards. Whatever you do, stay away from guides by Gateway or you'll be asking for trouble.

Yes, we are able to download the firmwares, and theoretically able to update to it. The thing is, AFAIK, there are no tools to do such a thing ("manual update") on 2.1. That's why carts are used to update to specific versions.

You can't update from system settings as that always updates to the latest version, which as of today (version 11.0) is not easily hackable.

And Ben 10 Omniverse should be fine, indeed.

There's a way to do it completely illegitimately. XD

You need to get the save from both the R4 Pokemon games and the save from the 3DS game(s). Then, you can use PokeGen to export each Pokemon as a .pkm file. From there, you can open your 3DS save in PkHeX and import the .pkm files to your save. You can then save the changes you made to your save and import it back to your 3DS game. You should now have the Pokemon from your R4 games.

Not sure about the save corruption error, I've never used JKSM. SaveDataFiler has always done what I've needed it to. XD

Two questions.

1) I got an Acekard 2i with an old firmware version, in fact it's so old that it didn't even have a system icon that was copied from some game. It runs fine on my 3DS using the TWL Launcher. But does updating the firmware actually important for game compatibility or anything, or is it fine to just sit on the firmware I have now with AKAIO 1.9.0?

2) Has anyone made a patch or something that makes the default cart launcher work like the TWL Launcher? It'd be nice to just be able to launch my flashcart as if it were any other cart that I have.
