I'm having a problem setting up my n3ds to play on the retroarch emulators. I couldn't find any answers on Google so I came to the only place I figured could help me.

Here's my specs:
Homebrew through Freakyhax
N3DS Version 11.0.0-33 U

Symptoms:
Every time I try to start a retroarch emulator, both screens go black and the n3ds freezes. I've been using the newest nightly builds to try to fix the problem, but it ends up freezing anyway.

Does anybody have any ideas or gone through this before? PLEASE HELP!!!

The nightlies have larger chances of having problems than the latest stable release, so don't use 'em unless you either know what you're doing, want to test new features, etc. It sounds like you just want them to work, though.

Also, delete your config file for retroarch. Not that I know why it's freezing, but that might solve it.

This function, which is used for many arm11 kernel applications such as BootNTR and RetroArch, was completely removed.
This will temporarily break applications that use it unless you are running the latest Luna3DS commit.

This is why Retroarch isn't working on 11.0. I have got the same problem after running the core

Man, I'm seriously not up to date. Does this mean RetroArch cores will work with Luma3DS, then?

Huh, I thought only the CIA and not the 3DSX version used that
