What do you want from IOSU

The ability to uprender Wii games to 1080p.

While it is possible the idea would not be as popular. Wii Games were designed for 480i/p graphics, upscaling them to 1080p would make them look blurry or werid. This may be more Sucessful if a game was designed specificly for 1080p graphics, and not 480. Even on the Wii U the graphics would have to downgrade. Similar to GameCube Wii Emulation it has to downgrade/upgrade the graphics constantly to match the GameCube Config with the Wii's in mind.

If you really wanted to play Wii Games in 1080p you could try with another method but overall they will pretty much blow your Wii over in a scam like trade unless you had the perfect screen size, and res of a Wii.

Dolphin upscales tend to be pretty sharp, actually. The textures are already pretty high resolution, it's just that the console can't really output at that high of a resolution

What about the ability to play wii/gc games without needing to go in to vwii, and to be able to install games like .cia's, oh and with an application to automatically go to homebrew chanell.
2 is already planned with custom firmwares, they have a WUP format, 1 is simple enough once you can access the filesystem and install a Wii VC title but auto boot it to something like a Forwarder to Nintendont instead of its game like SMG2 or Metroid, nobody really knows how it works right now cause nobody's looked at the cafe2wii binary or the API it uses

I have actually already discussed Wii / GC upscaling with several other more knowledgeable temp members and while I already thought it would be unlikely, I'm pretty much convinced upscaling is impossible even with IOSU. However, as for @kostas sfirakis issue, I would say you might already be able to do this by hacking vWii and using NTSC versions of the game you are looking for.

The Wii U's Firmware is very similar in terms of IOSU (It's IOSU, IT'S IOSU!). Nintendo seems to have used the same method, but they've tightened security. The ability of Custom Themes would be awesome, but would be best if Nintendo added this function; just like on the 3DS.
I don't really care about Custom Themes, but I'm sure as hell Nint won't add it

"IOSU is right around the corner" Why does that corner seem so far ... People have been saying that since christmas :P

It's an inside joke with some temp members

Emulators.

Give me a 100% speed Dreamcast, PSP and MAME and I'm good. If they upscale, all the better.

The WiiU has a decent amount of power and should be able to handle these platforms with ease, combine the ones listed above with the classics and you've got pretty much every game you could want to play, ever.

N64 emulator :P ,a little better than not64 it would be amazing to play Goldeneye Perfect Dark and Conkers 4 player multiplayer with the GC adapter <3

Everything emulator would be perfect XD , except wii and gamecube which are already supported and also can run unofficial games with mods and etc, 3ds or 2ds,DS, Gameboy, n64, snes, nes. With that way the wii u would be 1 in all nintendo console package except nx :P
