If im correct I just use EmuNAND9 to backup the emunand then just move all the files to the new SD Card and import the Emunand right?
Or save a ton of time by doing this
-Backup EmuNand
-go to unmount SD
-Insert new SD
-complete EmuNand setup
-copy files over
-restore backup
-profit levels over 9000

(this saves time by making it so you don't have to copy 2X, as creating EmuNand formats SD :P)

Ahh I see sorry used to be Pro at this stuff but I left the game about 8 months ago lol
That explains why you use rxTools XD
you missed a fair bit of the scene... like A9LH :P
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND)
^I recommend following this guide. You already have an EmuNand, so you just have to make backups of both Nands and switch to Luma CFW (easy to set up)
Then you can start from part 4...
But getting A9LH is up to you. Brick protection is worth it

Was the Nintendo 3DS folder transfered over?
Did you make an EmuNand on the new SD?
Did you restore the backup of your EmuNand to the new one?
Ive done everything yes - Doing this for my neighbour ill ask him if he deleted all the Games and shit. Seems like FBI PlayCoinSetter etc is still there so I think im set. Also can you explain to me the Advantages of that new CFW? And whats it officially called? RedNand or LumaCFW?

RedNand is just a slightly different EmuNand
and Luma3DS has everything the average user needs out of a CFW

I'm guessing you meant Arm9LoaderHax in the bolded area of where I quoted?

- RxTools will no longer boot emuNAND when the next firmware update upgrades native_firm, because rxTools is dead and no longer being developed.
- Luma3DS is under current development and will receive all features as they're discovered
- Luma3DS includes AGB and TWL patching meaning you don't have to do it manually (for DSiWare and GBA games)
- Luma3DS includes the option for overclocking on N3DS consoles, no need for NTR
- Luma3DS is easy to use, unlike the millions of different rxTools versions that all needed different ways of setting up and were compatible or not with different firmwares.
- Many other features that I can't think of right now

Using rxTools is like using windows 98 and then asking why you keep getting attacked by every virus known to man and why can't you use any newer software. Updating is the answer.

Also, when you use several swear words per post, you sound really, really lower class and kind of hard to respect.

RedNAND isn't a replacement, but it is often a preference due to MUCH smaller sizes on N3DS (Their RedNANDS are smaller than EmuNANDS)
However, Gateway (and also rxTools iirc) Can not boot into RedNAND

Essentially everything is a replacement to rxTools now tbh... But Luma has more features than any other CFW atm. Everything @Quantumcat said, and (especially) recovery mode that lets you keep A9LH

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.
