Since SafeA9lhinstaller 2.0 came out, I made a NAND without A9lh after losing it. My question is, can I restore my A9lh nand to get it back? Decrypt9 says
FIRM0 section2 hash mismatch
FIRM0 is corrupt (non critical) when I try to restore it. Is it still safe to restore it?

Do I have to install tickets for games AND their updates? Or tickets just for games are enough?

hello me again lol ive got to part 5 of plailects tut and where it says

1. Copy emergency_SecureInfo_A, emergency_movable.sed, emergency_title.db,emergency_ticket.db, and firm0firm1.xorpad from the root of your SD card to a safe location on your computer and back them up to multiple locations (such as online file storage); they do not replace NAND backups, but in the event of lost backups could save you from total data loss (after further research and development is completed)

i dont see any of theses mention above on root of sd card. does it matter if its not there?
or do i need to do part 5 lol as i see below that where it says insert your sd card into yor 2.1.0 3ds :/ i downgraded to 9.2 on sysnand and my emunand 11.0

A hardmod, is a hardware modification, it means you have to open up the 3DS and do stuff to it, so you can get it downgrade.

You'll probably need an alternative homebrew entry point, in addition to the hardmod.

Basically, if you have a 3DS on that firmware, it complicates things, especially if you aren't good when it comes to soldering or don't want to open up your 3DS.

Apart from that, you either wait for a downgrade option to be available on firmware 11.0, or you buy a Sky3DS+

A Sky3DS+ can only do .3ds roms, and you need a private header to play online, and you are limited to retail cartridge releases only. You'll need homebrew access to even consider playing out-of-region games on it. Which, I guess on an NA or EUR console, you'd just get the Freakyforms Deluxe .3ds rom and get that setup.

But anyways, those are basically your options on 11.0.0-33

Hello everyone o/

After about 3 hours i've finally got my N3DS(FW 10.3.0.28U) to run Menuhax via browserhax. I also went ahead and installed OOTHAX on my copy of OOT.
I havent hacked a device back since the original PSP and this 3DS has quite a huge amount of things to learn around the forum. Have a few quick questions.

1) Should i stick to 10.3 or downgrade to 9.2? I've read there's a thing called emuNAND/sysnand which i think allows the system to load a newer firmware via the sdcard?

2) would using OOT be a good way to load homebrew launcher as my everyday staple? or is there a better method aside browserhax?
**Learned menu hax will become my everyday loader by holding L. (great feature!)

3) after i learn upgrading or downgrading my Official FW is a good idea, whats next to work on? Do i need a understanding of Sysnand and EmuNand first before choosing a CFW?
my end goal is to run 3ds games and have a stockpile of GBA games to run on a emulator

The files are generated from the OTPHelper setup when you downgrade to 2.1. I would follow the guide completely and not skip steps because problems like this can be easily avoided.

Sky 3DS+ works fine. With gateway you need to downgrade, so you might as well use MenuHax+Luma at 9.2.

I have a system that has been downgraded to 4.5 using "Gateway Downgrade". I'm looking to install A9LH on it, which of these options are the safest:
1. Wait for the Gateway A9LH
2. Downgrade to 2.1 and install.
3. Update to 9.2 using a cart then downgrade to 2.1

I'm fairly sure that previously an older version of the guide asked you to use those files, but with V2 of the safe installer they would actually brick the device. (TLDR; Don't worry just follow the guide as is)

Firmware is on 10.7.0-32U and I'm using Super Mystery Dungeon for my entry point into the Homebrew Launcher. Trying to do the initial downgrade to get to 9.2.0 but keep getting stuck on HAX INIT

I know it's common for it to get stuck there, but is it common to get stuck that often? It's been at least 8 or so reboots and they all get stuck. Will keep trying in any case

Only the SD card so far. I've been holding off on doing a factory reset. I might attempt a different micro SD card as well

That's not enough. You need to backup your saves as well.

Using luma3ds emunand on a9lh and i have a question
is there a way when booting the n3ds to press a button to boot to sysnand(without going to luma3ds settings and check force sysnand)?

so,i just tried to play GBA game after installing it on sysnand SD card and emunand and it worked.

any way to not to boot to sysnand after playing any GBA game?

also,after booting so sysnand i went to system settings and found it's "SysE 9.2.0.20U" ,weird.

maybe the only solution is to dump my emunand to sysnand?
