AFAIK there is currently no up to date video guide following Plailect's. Just follow the written guide step-by-step and you will have no problems.

Hello i read that on a Regionchange Emunand you can only acces the eshop when the 3ds where the Secureinfo_A come from was not online. Is this because of the eshop Account? When yes can it be done when the eshop Account being erased in the eshop settings?

can you tell me how this works for you? it's not entirely done but you can generate an RSF from a decrypted CIA. may not work for anything but games (so not update data or dlc or whatever).

There is MrMario2011's that uses the guide but it's his modified version of the guide and is like 2 months old. I used it just to get a glimpse of what I was doing. Follow the guide step by step, take your time and you'll be fine

No need to buy a sky3DS, you can get CFW setup just fine on that firmware. Just follow Plailect's A9LH guide, it can take a while to finish it though, but it's def a lot better than a sky3DS. Be sure to read it once through, and to follow all the steps correctly.

I just used that guide he linked a couple days ago on a 9.9 new 3DS. Worked like a charm. It IS very time intensive and you do have to be careful to follow the guide exactly, but as long as you can follow instructions you will be fine. You can always ask here if you have any issues. Id be happy to help where I can.

Reboot, then open Hourglass9 from arm9loaderhax by holding Start on boot Go to "SysNAND Options" Go to "SysNAND Backup/Restore..." Select "NAND Restore (keep a9lh)"

Now im not seeing any options? loads up with just SysNAND Backup/Restore and EmuNAND Backup/Restore... help

Select "SysNAND Backup/Restore" option and it will open another options, one of this options will be "Restore SysNAND". Hourglass9 always keep A9LH

Hmmm when i do sysnand restore it says "not a proper NAND backup for this 3DS" ? :S followed it all perfectly.

I have a couple of questions and I would be very happy if someone could give some precise answers.

1. I hear that there are custom firmwares and hacking methods that do not use flashcards at all. Do these methods allow you to play backups, or are they only good for homebrews?
2. If these methods allow you to play backups, is there any difference in compatibility? I mean why would people even buy flashcards otherwise?
3. Is there any advantage of using a flashcard over applying a non-flashcard hack?
4. I believe that the hacks are available for certain official firmwares only (Below 9.0 or 9.2.0 or something). Is 2DS NWSMB2 edition hackable?
5. Is there any significant drawback of using a 2ds compared to a 3ds (your personal opinion, battery, shape, lack of pro pad support, etc...)
6. If a non-flashcard hack is possible. Do I need any other hardware to perform the steps? How large are the backups? Should I get a new sd card with more space?
