Think about it for a while; Why do Nintendo still allow us to install tickets and download pirate games directly from their servers? They surely can stop this with a simple check on the bought games, like they do for legit bought games can't they?

Also, if multiple homebrew can use security flaws to gain control and disable checks, why can't they use security flaws in the homebrews to wreck our hacks? I'm pretty sure there could be many.

Another thing, why don't they issue permanent online bans? I'm not really sure but I think there could be N ways to check if an online user is a legit owner of said game. Hell, even when they DO detect pirate games online (same header roms on flashcarts) they issue simbolic bans of no more than a few weeks.

I don't understand why they sometimes try so hard to fix things that are not so harmful (userland homebrew) while allowing such incredible exploits for pirating.

I don't understand, really. How long will we be allowed to keep those methods?

Online ban for a pirated game ID? Sure! But not for the whole online service!

I've installed a CFW, but I buy lots of legit games! Sony's way of banning consoles is stupid. I won't connect my CFW'd PS3 to their online service, so they'll receive no money from my system.

that's not true.

Nintendo don't have 3rd party support already; that would be suicide if they did. By which I mean allow people to pirate games.

its a case of they just don't plan ahead like MS & Sony.

Nintendo just don't have the online infrastructure in place.

I think it's a lil bit more complicated than that. Try asking someone who knows what they're talking about.

They are trying to ruin our hacks (see: 11.0) but it's not going very well, and they have more important things to do like.. I dunno.. make games?

I assume it's because Nintendo is too nice. They don't want to ban a paying customer do they? Quite a lot of people still buy even with rampant piracy.
Unless they cause huge havoc.

Well, the "incredible exploits for pirating" have really been gone since 9.2 (disregarding A9LH). And "userland homebrew" can lead to downgrading, or maybe develop into an "incredible exploit for pirating." Overall, they just want to risk widespread piracy as little as possible, so they shutdown as much homebrew as possible.

Yeah I agree with what was said above they need to do other things like making games and they have been patching things not too badly like how stated above again you cant do anything major unless on 9.2 and they have been patching alot of entry point like two indies taken down pretty fast the other week. They wont do cubic ninja because No one is stupid enough to update it if they were to roll one out and its discontinued so that too. And for oot not sure why they dont just push an update because they cant take that game down

THIS Nintendo

to sell more consoles

THEIS N is primarily a hardware business model now, they hardly make games anymore, they can't even produce one single game from two of their biggest franchises for an entire console generation
for both systems actually , no metroid , no zelda , except 2.5 d garbage and remakes and pseudo remakes

From 3DS we can use other hacks to launch games or just cfw.
But the WiiU that is the big question yes. Right under their servers.

They haven't fixed this stuff because the cost of fixing these problems is greater than the estimated financial loss these problems are causing them. It's that, or they simply aren't aware of these issues yet, which I highly doubt.
