From the first 10 minutes to the first 10 hours it just depends on who feels like getting it and doing the quick process of making the cia and if they feel like uploading too

Yeah, it depends on much people want the game..and..want to buy it..and then they have to make the cia & upload it. So, the more popular the game, the faster it will be released. If the game is not well known, or it's just a bad game by reviews, it might take a bit longer. So, it completely depends on the game itself.


Sun and Moon will be released in CIA form extremely fast.

It depends. Most people use Funk(e)yCIA for CIAs, which is only limited by how fast you can dump tickets/get the keys and your download speed (on pc, not your 3DS). As for how fast it's shared, it depends on how many kind people are willing to put it on certain sites (popularity of the game is a large thing here).

Agreed, but the most popular is Funk(e)yCIA and AFAIK it's the only one that outputs correct CIAs + it's the only one on GBATemp.

I plan on dumping and creating my own cia when MH Generations gets released AND doing the same for Pokemon Sun/Moon.

Some games come out before intended release date.
Especially games that have different international release dates, such as Kirby Planet Robotbot and Hyrule Warriors.
Both had CIA's appear online before USA release due to JP getting them first.
These CIAs were multilanguage/region.. so CIA users essentially got them early.

Lol. But back to the topic - I find that in my experience, popular games get dumped a couple of days before "street date". Heaven knows I've played Pokemon Diamond on my R4 before the actual software was released.

No way . I just went on that iso site when I saw a bunch of "Kirby Planet Robotot " tweets

Yeah, iirc the JAP release got leaked a week early or something. And it, like Hyrule Warriors, actually changes languages depending on the language setting of the console. I've had the game for about a month or so now, something like that.

So thats a week ahead of NORMAL release date for JP, but for USA and EU almost 2 full months ahead of time.
Considering game doesnt come out here until June. Thats the earliest Ive seen a CIA drop thus far.
